absolute delinquents
U good link?
Iâm never leaving this website
I will lie, cheat, and scam if it means getting out of a conversation I don't wanna be in. My sense of ethical behavior vanishes entirely when I want ppl to stop talking to me. One time I pretended not to know what Egypt was so they'd stop talking to me about their vacation plans
the bad news is that my mom was sad that her eggplants havenât been growing; however, it turns out that the reason her eggplants havenât been growing is because her eggplants were actually spinach. The good news is that her spinach is growing very well. She was also sad that her peppers havenât been growing either, but it turns out that the peppers were actually eggplant. And Iâm happy to report that the eggplant is also growing very well.
what was that? i was so busy making normal human gestures to show i was listening that i wasnât able to actually listen
All the talk about "oh Elon Musk's buying twitter now all the people who fled from tumblr to twitter are gonna come back here" and gotta say. I'm on edge. SOMETHING happened to tumblr between 2018 and 2020 that turned it from a warzone to a tolerable shitposting website and my one best guess has always been that the p/orn ban sent so many people packing to twitter that we ended up exporting all our native-grown gremlins to the bird site. I back this theory up by the fact that all batshit fandom drama I hear about these days comes from twitter.
So for most people coming back, happy to see you welcome have some tea or coffee over on the table to the left but if the shit-stirrers come back for me it's on sight. It's on sight. First time around I was nice I was like "oh I shouldn't engage if I'm the Bigger Blog that's a bad move to put smaller blogs on blast :(" free pass is up. I'll name and shame. I clawed my way back up from 6 feet underground and I'm not doing it again I'll defend this garbage tower to the death. PVP. I'll salt the earth I'll poison the water supply I'll burn the village down hand in unlovable hand I'll take everyone and everything down with me before I cede this stupid blog again it's on. sight.
Oh also there's some lemon bars too.
to all the people who may be coming back here from twitter in light of elonâs purchase:
like yes things suck but at least ur not 15 again
*repeating to myself in the mirror* i lived through being age 15 i can do anything nowâŠ
I think a lot about how we as a culture have turned âforeverâ into the only acceptable definition of success.
Like⊠if you open a coffee shop and run it for a while and it makes you happy but then stuff gets too expensive and stressful and you want to do something else so you close it, itâs a âfailedâ business. If you write a book or two, then decide that you donât actually want to keep doing that, youâre a âfailedâ writer. If you marry someone, and that marriage is good for a while, and then stops working and you get divorced, itâs a âfailedâ marriage.
The only acceptable âwin conditionâ is âyou keep doing that thing foreverâ. A friendship that lasts for a few years but then its time is done and you move on is considered less valuable or not a ârealâ friendship. A hobby that you do for a while and then are done with is a âphaseâ - or, alternatively, a âpityâ that you donât do that thing any more. A fandom is âdyingâ because people have had a lot of fun with it but are now moving on to other things.
I just think that something can be good, and also end, and that thing was still good. And itâs okay to be sad that it ended, too. But the idea that anything that ends is automatically less than this hypothetical eternal state of success⊠I donât think thatâs doing us any good at all.
Itâs so fitting that the âlock your posts behind a paywallâ Tumblr feature was universally panned while the âforce total strangers to see your shitpostsâ feature is celebrated
Threw an empty plastic Easter egg at Tim for him to play with but he just... solemnly held onto it, thinking deeply about his newfound responsibility

thereâs something wrong with me but sometimes i have fun with it
