Mark: “I can’t believe, I’m doing this—Just because I feel pity for you!”

He points at the small Godzilla. Who simply chirps at his attention directed at him.

Mark wasn’t really sure if he wanted the small titan around him—This baby Godzilla wasn’t, the same big one that wrecked the city and indirectly kill your son, among the fight against those MUTOs in the city.

He remembers how it went down, like it was yesterday. Emma and Madison were first to make out of the wreckage—But Andrew was nowhere near.

Emma and Mark tried their very best to look or call him. Nothing.

Just the burning smell of the smoke and cries of people calling out for their love ones in the destruction.

Something inside him broke that day—Emma as well.

For Madison is was probably the last time, that she saw her brother and later on her father.

———- He shook his head at haunting memory lingering inside his mind like something reminding him of the failure.

Mark felt pity for the baby Godzilla—sure the little guy is on his own without a family member. He wasn’t sure if he wanted Monarch to know the little guy’s existence.

They probably put the little Godzilla in a lab and…..No Mark can’t tell them.

And Mark can’t really find Godzilla. The big guy is probably out there somewhere in the entire ocean, probably afar away from any human civilization.

The little guy wasn’t really keen about leaving him alone. Since he just deemed him as the little one’s mother or father.

Baby godzilla had some differences that stand out from the original Godzilla. His rough skincolor is dark green of a pine tree, while Godzilla has a dark gray.

Little guy’s has these warm sunset colored eyes.

He did caught some wind about the big guy’s new dorsal spine looks. Apparently Godzilla counter a new Titan, that beat his ass. Until Godzilla gain the upper hand and won.

Mark: “I can’t keep calling you, Baby Godzilla or Little Guy forever—you need a name, something like…..Junior”

Litt—The newly named Junior happily chirped at the very name. He let out a chuckle at the mere thought of Junior fully understanding him.

New idea fanfic—Mark Russell is “forced” to adopt a baby Godzilla.

Basically a guy who lost his kid (can’t see his other kid because she is in his ex wife custody) to a giant radioactive lizard. Gains a new one in form of the monster that took your son’s life.

Idk why but it stuck in my head while writing my incoming fanfic. That I badly want to write out as a comfort/angst one shot and make part of a series full of one chapter stories.

Ok back on track—This story follows up the aftermath of Godzilla 2014 and Aftershock. Mark is spending his time in the middle of the woods while researching and studying wolf pack behavior. But he accidentally falls in a steep cliff, where he counters a large abandoned nest area hidden away.

Mark finds a single unharm large egg inside the abandoned nest and expects to be a Titan egg. He places his hand against the shell, to find it warm and alive.

Yeaaah, Mark decides that to dip out of the nest and head straight back home. Until the egg starts hatching and he just stares in disbelief at the very sight.

As a baby Godzilla emerges from it.

(Congrats Mark, your a father again)

Both of them lock eye contact and before, Mark can react—he suddenly gets tackled to the ground by the newly hatched Godzilla, who immediately imprints on Mark as his parent, to Mark’s horror.

-It’s a silly au, where Mark gets be a good parent for Madison and Godzilla Junior.-

I rewatched Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) again for the umpteenth time the other day, and it got me thinking about Mothra. Many things do, I love Mothra. But I particularly love how Mothra gets used in this movie.

Godzilla is Ghidorah's most overt nemesis. He's the name on the poster, he's the one who can physically match Ghidorah blow for blow, and he's got those cool ancient cave paintings. We know this.

But Mothra is the world's answer to Ghidorah. She opposes what he stands for -- dominion, one over all, bending the world to his whim. At every turn in the movie, she's the banner everyone flocks to.

The Mass Awakening sequence frames Ghidorah as the false god, the usurper king, with all the other kaiju rising at his call to end the world as we know it. But Mothra doesn't awaken to answer his call, she awakens in reply to it. Her emergence is a scene of its own, with a completely different score and atmosphere. Ghidorah throws down the gauntlet and right here, right now, it's Mothra picking it up.

How does she do it? She finds Monarch, humanity's beleaguered defenders, and helps them find and revive Godzilla. Because Emma Russell wasn't entirely wrong, when she put humans in the Orca. We're part of this planet too, and we want to help defend it. Mothra's maybe the only one who could actually bring all of Earth's defenders together, and she's certainly the only one in that moment who's willing to try.

And in the final battle, it's her choice that saves things. Her wings are still actively smouldering from the wounds Rodan inflicted. She can't beat Ghidorah, and I think she knows it -- but she can fight. She can stand over Godzilla's body and raise her wings. She can buy the Russells the time to fix the Orca and stabilize Godzilla's runaway meltdown, to make sure that both he and the world survive. And when Godzilla unleashes his nuclear pulse, it's her voice that cries out in defiance along with him.

She's fighting for the Earth from the moment she emerges from her cocoon, and her final actions are what seal Ghidorah's fate. Ghidorah reigns through fear and domineering will, and seems to almost revel in each individual death, letting his victims feel how small and alone they are before his terrible majesty. And humankind and Godzilla stand against him with claws and teeth and guns, but it's Mothra who inspires hope, who brings Earth's defenders together, who knows even in her dying moments that she is not alone, and makes sure Godzilla does too.

Ghidorah tried to break Earth's spirit. Mothra held it together.

Dude, writing a fanfic is hard—I HAD TO REWRITE MULTIPLE SENTENCES AND CHAPTERS AND REWATCH THE MOVIE.

Also describing the looks that Mc/Battra has, is bit difficult but worth it.

Also getting the to write the speech and talking for each character. Man I need a break but I’m must do it.

Odd question here, but I wonder what truly happened to the Ghidorah skull kept in the Apex Cybernetics Lab.

Was it destroyed when MechaGodzilla broke out of the facility or it got buried under the debris. Heck I didn’t see it after the movie ended or any mention of it.

There a possibility that Monarch has search the facility and taken it or there’s a third party involved that might have taken it.

But who knows….

An odd fanfic idea

So I started thinking an idea of a fanfic about the Godzilla (Monsterverse) franchise that is slowly becoming my interest once again and dragging me to the deepest pits of the kaiju franchise.

About someone being isekai as Battra—(if you don’t know about him, go watch or check the movie “Godzilla vs Mothra 1992”). It’s a bit crack fanfic where our Mc is trying to survive as a kaiju in other words a titan in this universe but the plot is always around the corner.

But there’ll be a few changes due to Mc’s actions to the movies.

A butterfly effect.

This action will have consequences Ignore that.

A few things I want to say that

—Mc or Battra would be the same species as Mothra and look a bit similar of her.

—Battra (Mc) would have a mix of somewhat similar powers to Mothra (Monsterverse version) and theirs.

—The fanfic would start around at Godzilla (2014) at point where Godzilla is entering San Francisco to fight the Muto pair.

—Battra (Mc) has enter the fight with Gojira and the Mutos. Causing the public to be aware of their existence.

—Mc is trying their best

—Mc is not their real name but who knows

—A minor characters will be introduced to fanfic due to our Mc’s actions.

—Misadventures of a big emo moth.

—Mothra and Battra (Mc) would be best friends. —They/Them pronouns for Battra (Mc).

—The Chen sisters are the Shobjin aka Mothra’s fairies in this Fanfic.
