My vest is coming along! I have officially cast off the front, seamed the shoulders and cast on for the side ribbing. The end is getting ever so much closer.

Pants are finished! Baby boy looks so stinking adorable in them. Really love how this pattern turned out. Looking forward to making another pair when he grows out of these. I believe I knit size 0-3 months? Maybe 3-6. I can't remember because I am terrible at keeping track of that sort of information. But regardless, the positive ease is pretty nice and he has lots of room to grow.

These focus a bit more on my postpartum and raising a child. Weekly snippets of life. I still do updates on all my projects though!

Just gotta finish the cuff and cast on the next leg. Surprisingly knit up fast then I thought they would.
Being inspired by my little man, I cast on a tiny pair of pants. This is a free Dutch pattern I sourced through Pinterest. It is really nice shaping and has a great gusset for the diaper and booty. Very excited to see how these turn out.

The tiny bit of progress I have made on my Umbria Summer Top. At this rate it will be finished by summer.
The increases for the arms and top are taking an age. I feel like I have been working on them for months (thats because I have.)

Still hard at work on this project. It is a mishmash of scrap yarns. All fingering weight single ply (except maybe one or two) I am so close to having the front panel done. Then all that is left are the sides the finishing touches!

Whipped up a quick little ribbed hat for baby. I used a bunch of random yarn I originally had set aside for a shawl. Don't worry it was found in a random bag tucked away... so apparently not important at all. It worked great for this little hat!
The current set up. Knitting with a baby around is actually easier then you think. I just make sure I have everything I need on hand. It has really taught me to build up a little kit to carry with me. Needles, scissors, a measuring tape. Anything and everything on hand!
The project that got me back into the swing of things.
Julian had a newborn photoshoot. So I decided to make him his outfit. His "theme" has always been frogs. I opted to knit up Baby Bear Bonnet by Knitting for Olive in green cotton from Blue Sky Fibers. I improvised some frog eyes to go along with it. I also had to knit up a pair of Farmhouse Bloomers by Debra Gorman.
I am completely obsessed with this duo. His photoshoot went so well, and we got some amazing photos!

Life has changed so much since my last post.
I gave birth to a baby boy in October. It has been the most beautiful journey. Getting to know this little guy is one of the best things to ever happen to me.
Life looks a lot like the photos above. Tons of postpartum snuggles. Learning how to breastfeed and knit. Making space for healing, love, and getting my creative energy back!
I have lots of fun projects planned. Especially making things for my fav babe.
It has ben forever... A lot has changed.
Just completed by third pair of Burnside Bibs! I opted to sew these up in size 18 to make sure that there is ample room for my baby belly as I grow. I do wish I had a little bit more fabric to make them full length pants, but I also love the shorts style. Anyway, there is nothing stopping me from making a fourth pair.
These are also a win because I finally used up this lovely striped linen that I have had in my fabric stash since 2019! If you go back in the archives you can probably find the skirt I originally made with the fabric.
Speaking of yarn... um why yes I did do some shopping.
Good ol Yarn.com snuck under my skin some how. I ended up with enough Malibrigo Rios for a sweater that I probably won't make or wear for another year. Yay me :)
As well as a few other skeins of malibrigo fingering that will go into my vest. I fell pray to some good sale prices, and then still ended up blowing more cash then I wanted too. Gotta love being a yarn lover 😅
This might be the slowest knitting project I have ever knit in my life. I am still working on the back panel. Now, I am doing the shoulder decreases, so that is something. But this project requires a little more thought when it comes to colors and the stitch pattern. There are numerous times when I mix up the stitches and have to double back. I can't believe I still have to knit a front piece. Thank god this pattern is a vest and there aren't any sleeves!!

It's summer sewing time! I got my ish together and started knocking out some projects. I started off with this cute little bow tie vest by Gold and Skye patterns. I really want to wear this out and about, the weather has just been so stinking cold. As soon as the sun is shining this cutie will be styled!
My second project was reworking a weird sleeveless dress from a thrift bin. Loved the fabric and thought a skirt would be cute. Plus all I had to do was use parts of the Ballet Bow Skirt pattern from Matchy Matchy Sewing Club to create the little side bow accents. Other than struggling a little with the waist band (my original plan to use elastic from the original dress backfired) it was a really fast skirt to put. together. The original piece already had pockets too, so that was fantastic.
Loved how quick and fun these projects were. Excited to keep going! I am also starting to add baby sewing patterns to my list :)
