Old draft revisited (from 2014), made for a MK week maybe? But never posted. At that time I headcanoned that if Mako would ever make a bethrotal necklace to Korra, it would have the symbols of both fire and water merged together, carved in the blue stone. The ribbon of it would be red, made from a piece of Mako’s father’s old scarf (because come on, we all agree he would do something like that).
