An impressively interesting book! I was pleasantly surprised as I had a misconception of Plath’s style of writing, so I always steered clear of this book. But the novel’s treatment of depression, which stands in stark contrast to another recently read book on the same topic - The Bell Jar, was well-handled without being morbid.
