Figuratively, you get in a car crash so bad you're in the ICU and after you're admitted, stitched, relocated your ribs, and stayed long enough they're now allowing you home: are you all better now?
Say they sent you home with instructions for physical therapy, pain meds, and restrictions. Are you gonna read it once or twice before forgetting you're injured and jump back into normal activity? Or are you gonna pick up your meds and setup a PT appointment.
I genuinely locked tf in about a month ago on getting my shit together bc I want my life to get better. And being self aware ain't enough, I can have all these self-realizations an the epiphany after a massacre life lesson. But understanding and knowing about it doesn't fix my brain.
Thinking about how to change a core belief once or twice is not gonna fix your brain chemistry. You have to do it manually until your brain learns how to do it on its own running in the background by default. I made 2 lists of shit to remember, 1 is my software, the other my hardware and I'm reading that shit every day the way a middle schooler treats yaoi as the sacred texts

So many people use perceived and undiagnosed neurodivergency to get a free pass at being rude and it's just exhausting. We all came into this world being rude and had to learn manners. I'm sorry. We cannot normalize rudeness. I refuse to do it.
I'm rude too! And not many people called me out on it, i got a pass at it for being the weird and offputting kid nobody liked anyways for too long. So I'm 25 and learning how basic interactions work. You should get into unlearning rudeness too, highly recommend. It makes you likeable to other people, for once.
At the very least if you're goning to be rude and inappropriate to others you should expect nothing but the same treatment to be thrown back at you.
And it's not like being polite/not rude means you're not allowed to express your opinion at all, it just means you have to say it in a nice way. I am tired of people acting like being polite means acting like a neutered dishonest bland personality-less person. So many people associates rude = honestly and polite = dishonest for no damn reason, if you can't be honest without being rude then idk maybe just don't say anything!
sometimes I like to check in on the original "I can imagine anything" thread on r/notinteresting
visual gag concept: character whose eyes look normal when they're wearing glasses, but look heavily compressed and 144p when they dont have them.
the thing about being bullied for being weird as a kid is that even if you've always embraced being weird your brain is still always looking for the line where it's too much. you can be as proudly and intentionally weird as you want and you can love being weird but your mind is still convinced there's a point where you get too weird and people start treating you like a weird looking bug again. also it feels like you reach that point 500 times a day even if everyone you've spoken to today found you pleasant and likable and even if you're completely alone in your house with nobody looking at you at all.

Genuinely I don't think there's a more pathetic and embarrassing feeling than accidentally getting db for a cis dude in your mid 20s
I was being dramatic he still likes me
yessssss shame your past self for surviving the only way you knew how to at the time 😍😍😍
Wait I was thinking bout how it's a good thing I don't have money, cause feeling bad about spending is what gives me a mandatory penjamine break and back to flower. Once I feel comfortable enough to buy more carts the new one hits that much better
But wait. If I had a lot of money I wouldn't need it to buy more weed to support my tolerance- I'd have enough money to buy enough therapy and Ritalin and a DNA test for what medication would biologically be most effective. I wouldn't need to self medicate if this country was affordable

Critical support to these scammers weaponizing homophobia to drain right-wingers' bank accounts 🫡
I’m sorry but wtf is that poster behind them?
