First shoot of the year!

It's a new take on the Red Riding Hood story developed from jokes and conversations with my colleague and model for this set, Chris, over the past couple of months. I was using my Leica M6 to take some behind the scenes photos at a recent shoot. There's something to be said about how smoothly and intuitively this camera operates, it's a pleasure to take photos with and quite intuitively too! Featured here is Eve Black, with assistant Jennifer Y. and stylist Sharina Matthews.

Some real world results from my first week with the jaw-dropping Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95! I think I've found the perfect E-mount lens for my uses! All the above images were shot in f/0.95 with no added sharpening. Minor contrast/ cropping corrections were done in Lightroom (I still prefer Canon colours to Sony... but sometimes the Sony surprises me!)

Did a quick portrait recently, playing around with bare bulb strobes having forgotten a whole bag of lighting modifiers (d'oh!). Bit of realistic lighting inspiration from Gregory Crewdson thrown into the mix!
