She nodded. Quarter of the way sounded fine and he was right she needed some cash for college and the like. “Thanks, daddy.” With that she wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug.

“I love you so much, I’m going to miss you when you’re gone.”

Tom hugs her back tightly and closes his eyes.

“But you’re gonna be great, just like with everything you do.” Tom has always been so proud of his daughter. And so he is so excited to see what she makes of her life and future.

“I love you, i probably don’t say that enough.”

“Thank you, Daddy.” It was nice to know he was supportive of her. “I’ll send you a postcard, all right?” Right now she wasn’t entirely sure what she was going to do with her future but she was going to take it one step at a time, even if it meant working at the pool for another summer.

Her smile became less forced and more genuine. It seemed he was more willing than she thought he might be, especially considering the price tag of such a car. “Yeah, yeah that’d be fine. I can even pay half if you like.”

“Meet me a quarter of the way there how about that? You need to save your money for collage, And I want you to have a nice savings to fall back on if you need.”

Tom smiles to her and he just nods.

“We will go to the dealership tomorrow.”

She nodded. Quarter of the way sounded fine and he was right she needed some cash for college and the like. “Thanks, daddy.” With that she wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug.

A heavy sigh left her, the anxiety was getting to her but she swallowed her fears with a wide smile. “I want a pontiac fiero in red.”

Looking to his daughter, Tom can tell his and Janet’s expensive taste has only run it’s course though his daughter as well. He couldn’t be more proud.

“Will you be satisfied with this car as your graduation present? I’m sure you’ll still get something from Mommy, but I mean..Is this an alright graduation present from me for you?”

There was a huge smile on Tina’s face as the new student emerged from his blue camaro. He was blond and muscular and was overall easy on the eyes, her eyes especially. “Who is that?” Biting the inside of her cheek, she watched him go inside the school. Her fingers twirled around her long brown curls as she continued staring until he disappeared. “I hope he’s in my class.”
