i have no idea if im actually aromantic, reason being is that my gender, disabliities and asexuality might all be reasons i tell myself im aromantic. i do 100% believe im asexual but why i have trouble with understanding my aromantic identity is because whenever i think i might like someone romantically i feel as though the other person would be missing out on something that im unable to give them.
i feel like i cant give someone what they need or that i'll never truly be seen how i see myself.
for example if i'm were in a relationship with a man i dont believe he wont see me as a woman and i'd be forced into roles i wouldnt like. i cant give a man what he would want, i could never be a wife or a mother he would deserve someone who can love him the same.
another example if i were in a relationship with a woman it would feel like id have to be some kind of provider, i could never do that given my experience with multiple disabilities, i am not a man but i do present more masculine so i feel i would be pushed into more traditionally masculine roles.
alot of this is my own preconceptions and assumptions based on stereotypes i admit that but how do i know if i experience romantic attraction and just dont believe i deserve it out of some sort of internalized self hatred or i really just dont feel romantic attraction?
