Palestinians in Gaza are rushing to stockpile food after Israel extended the closure of border crossings until March 13, during the holy month of Ramadan, following the escalation of tensions linked to the Israeli-US war on Iran.

Although the Kerem Shalom crossing has partially reopened, broader restrictions on goods and aid entering Gaza remain in place. Human rights organisations accuse Israel of reinstating a "starvation policy."

Philippe Lazzarini, head of UNRWA, says that after more than two years of suffering, Palestinians in the besieged enclave still lack the most basic necessities.

The World Food Programme warns its operations could soon be suspended if supplies run out.

i've seen many of you on my dash reblog fundraisers and campaigns from palestinians, especially those that have been vetted and verified. it's a massive help for those families. but today i want to talk about the person behind the verification: mohammed ayesh @moxayesh who has done the legwork to make sure these campaigns are legit.

unfortunately his own campaign is struggling. as many of you may know, mohammed has recently gotten married! he and his wife farah are trying their best to start a new life with a fresh start. their campaign goal is $10k, of which they currently have $3211. you can donate to them on chuffed here.

i also want to mention mohammed's little brother, yaser @yaseergaza. yaser is hard of hearing and has a cochlear implant. however due to the situation in gaza, he often struggles to keep his cochlear implant charged, and he has also had to discontinue his speech therapy sessions. he is trying to raise funds so that he can continue looking after his health, and currently has $695 out of a total goal of $10k. you can donate to him on chuffed here.

i miss vatanim sensin everyday ever since i watched it. i don't think a show has ever caused me so much impact. i love them so much.

i went into it almost completely blind (i had seen one tik tok edit of leon), 60+, 2 hour long episodes later it became one of my (if not the most) favourite shows ever.

sometimes i'll watch some scenes on youtube because i miss watching it so much.

but i can't rewatch it, i have no time, hoe do you rewatch a show that has 2 hours + long episodes.

so frustrating.

anyways, if you haven't already, and you love classical romances, go watch it, it's perfection. it's classical, tragic romance, and history based.

i knew nothing of ottoman empire and turkey x greece conflicts before this show, and it interested me so much i researched a lot of it afterwards.
