This is a pochade box I have designed after many years of pleinair painting. I have always loved the magnificent feeling of painting outdoors but at times it can be a little of a struggle to carry all the gear necessary for it. One of the most popular easels for plein air painting, is the french easel but to me it is an old fashion design. Today we have advances in certain technology like tripods, hinges and backpacks that give us room for a much more functional design and I think聽 that's the reason we are seeing聽 a lot more new pleinair easels聽 designs in the market.
