(imo) Huntress and Styx are based off of Strepsipteras (Mengenillidae specifically, but thats just because it’s the only family where the female lives outside a host).

I was looking into which bugs eat their mothers and found Strepsiptera, ‘twisted wing parasite’.

My main points are that the kinda drapery wings and branching antenna match the design of Styx and Huntress. Antenna of different Strepsiptera families have various shapes that match up to both.

Some types of Strepsiptera are known to parasitise silverfish, or cockroaches, (or grasshoppers), so it could also be a cool connection with the location both Styx and the Huntress are found in.

Finally, Mengenillidae is an Australian bug which doesn’t confirm anything, but considering team cherry is Australian, I’ll take it as supporting my thesis lol.
