Being back in the office felt cramped, Mark found himself unable to concentrate in the tiny area he called a work space. He was glad to finally have some freedom in the afternoon, wandering the streets of London for a good long while before he made a stop at the Leaky Cauldron for a drink. He sat down at the bar, ordering himself a scotch on the rocks, and sat quietly and contentedly listening to the sounds of the bar, the happy hum of the patrons. Just as he raised his drink to his lips, he felt a presence behind him. âIf youâre looking for an auror, find one thatâs still on duty. Iâm off for the day,â he grunted, intending to ignore the newcomer.
Victoire scoffed at the man, turning her attention to the barmaid tending. âIâm not here to bother you. Iâm here to pick up an order,â she muttered, nodding to the other woman who disappeared into the supply room to find the parcel for Vic. It must have looked odd for the Hogâs Headâs barmaid to be picking up packages at another pub, but some aspects to Victoireâs little side project could not be dealt with at Hogâs Head, no matter how discrete a location it was for the recruitment meetings. Drumming her fingers along the bar, sheâs turned her attention back to the man and raised a brow curiously. âSo⌠No news on my missing uncle? Considering the papers have been very quiet on the topic, Iâm guessing you lads havenât come up with anything. Am I wrong?â
