Disband police template

I wrote a letter to the Seattle city council and could not find a template on how to write to them to disband and defund the police department. That being the case I’m going to put this out there for others to use. The blanks are your respective city.

Please note that I am white and could not find a template so if there is anyone who is black that has comments on how this can be improved please let me know and I will make edits for folks at large to see.

Please make sure to contact all your city council members when doing this. Seattle has one email to contact the entire council, but I’m sure it’s more difficult in other places.

Please support racial justice by defunding and disbanding the police department of ____.

Police brutality is causing division in our city as well as our nation at large. People of color in our communities have been targets for too long. i’ve said it before but narcissa wright is like the perfect case study of how gamers are absolutely not an inclusive group of people.

she was considered one of the best speedrunners around, was pretty instrumental in the development of the ocarina of time speedrun, holding the world record for a like, a really good length of time, as well as having some really good speedruns of other games like super monkey ball and castlevania 64 (i think she held the record for carrie for a good while), she made several appearances at games done quick marathons and was one of the contestants in the nintendo world championship from last year, getting to second place overall and getting a signed 3ds from miyamoto

and then she came out as a trans women and like 90% of her fanbase fucking turned on her so quick, calling her slurs, calling her mentally deranged (and anyone supporting her as “enabling a fantasy”), saying she was a hack and that their excuse for being so horrendous was that she didn’t do speedruns or play games any more, but thats bullshit cause if you take like, the time to actually look even really briefly into it, she seriously fucked up her hands playing competitive smash too much; i’ll say it again: she caused serious damage to her wrist and hand muscles because she was playing games too much.

not to mention on twitch, theres a global emote (WinWaker) that’s her face pre-transition and people use that emote all the time in order to mock her. like for example i’ve attended many GDQ streams and whenever the runner says something like “transitioning” in terms of gameplay tactics or whatever the chat starts spamming that emote. it’s absolutely disgusting and i despise the gaming community from pretty much all standpoints

I feel bad when I run into strangers. Cause I feel terrified of anyone I don’t know for like the first 5-10min of interaction. After that I have anxieties but I’m a lot better about the interaction. When I first run into someone I’m just like really awkward and trying to avoid speaking to and looking at them. Even though i want to interact with people. Like I saw people today that it was like “Hey it’d be neat to say hi to them,” but nope instead I completely avoid eye contact and avoid responding as much as I can.

I just feel bad about it. For myself and them. I’m sure everyone’s nice people, but I feel I’m portraying to everyone that they’re the plague even though in reality I wanna talk to them. And I feel bad about me cause I really wish I wasn’t doing this but I don’t know how to stop. I used to be better, now this is just like my way of life.

Help I’m going to buy a really nice expensive laptop tomorrow if nobody stops me. I have a working 3yr old macbookpro, but it isn’t able to play a vast portion of the games I want/have (even though they work on macs cause it’s not powerful enough). I am going to buy a new computer purely for the fact that I can play more games on it, and it won’t have lag issues.

It’s so expensive, but I have the money to be able to buy it and not be in any serious trouble.

If someone feels like this is a bad idea, please stop me. Cause I no longer can convince myself it is.

How do I draw anything at all ever?

The answer is it’s a giant struggle. I struggle to come up with poses, I have zero OCs, I don’t have any ideas for stories, and just thinking of stuff to compose a drawing is extremely difficult for me.

Regardless. I draw. It’s getting more and more rare for me to draw, which is sad. But in reality it’s because I’m getting out of more basic material and have to figure out which direction I want to take from here as a person who draws. But in order to do that I feel like I need to know where I want to go instead of stumbling through drawing.

People say “Just draw everyday,” “Draw what you like,” “If you keep drawing you’ll eventually know where you want to go with it.” But what if you don’t know what you want to draw? What if you don’t know what you like to draw? What if you can’t visualize anything when you draw and everything you put down is what you’re seeing? That there is no picture in your head to base things off of?

I feel like I never see anyone talk about things like this, and maybe it is cause it’s just me I dunno. I still like to draw, but lately I’ve been avoiding it cause I don’t know how to improve, when people tell me “Just draw everyday,” it’s just not really advice that helps me. Cause I don’t know what to draw, yeah I guess I could keep working on anatomy, but that’s not really towards anything? I’ve been working on anatomy since I began drawing in a way, and I still have no idea what I want to draw, or like to draw. It’s easier to work on the basics if it’s towards something you want to be able to do.

I just don’t know how to get a direction. I feel i’ve just been stumbling for so long trying to figure out where I’m going and I still don’t know. And now I feel like I’m lost and feel like if I move in any way I’ll just get more lost. Is this something other people have ever struggled with? Because I feel like I never hear stories of those like me who draw as a hobby but feel stuck not because of art block, but because they’ve never had a direction they were heading and now it’s affecting them.

Even though I don’t use this account anymore, I wanted to let whatever friends still follow me on here know I finally got my top surgery. It’s the beginning of my second day of recovery and I’m pretty happy. I sadly don’t get to see the actual results for a long time, or move my arms a whole bunch for two months (i’m gonna be a t-rex), but I’m still really happy about it. I can tell my chest is flatter, not just by touching my chest, but from the feeling alone.

Even though there is pain, it’s not much, and it’s worth it. I’ve been waiting 7yrs for this.

I think what ticks me off about LGBT activists on Tumblr is that many treat asexuality as no big deal and work to make it seen as less important than any other marginalized sexuality.

No one wants to be called “homophobic” even in mainstream media. While biphobia and transphobia are not at quite the same level pejorative-wise, people are learning that these are not nice things and progress is being made.

But acephobia…outside the asexual community it means nothing, and it is a common assessment of both cishets and LGBT that anyone talking about asexuality, is simply whining. Talking about a lack of interest in a sexual attaraction to people is considered “lording it over someone.” Multiple published authors have publicly mocked asexuality and asexuals for being too “ugly and stupid” to get laid and receive absolutely no negative consequences for these remarks.

When prominent members of the Tumblr LGBT community get support for censoring asexuality and excluding it from any label describing LGBT issues, then there is a tacit anti-asexual environment.

If you write, “Homosexuals think they’re better than everyone else for liking the same gender and aren’t opporessed,” then people will call you out on the statment.

But if you write “Asexuals think they’re better than people who experience sexual attaraction,” people will support you on it uncritically. In fact some people suggest being asexual is inherently damaging to LGBT and abuse survivors and thus SHOULD be mocked.

And that’s what pisses me off. If you want to be ace-positive, make sure that the bashing of asexuality and related concepts is as maligned and economically damaging as the bashing of anything strictly LGBT or related…even if the person doing the bashing is an ally or is a member of the LGBT community. Otherwise, ace-positivity is empty support.
