This was in contrast the only Wizarding photograph on the walls which was a picture of four Hogwarts students standing arm in arm, laughing at the camera. With a leap of pleasure, Harry recognised his father, his untidy black hair stuck up at the back like Harry’s, and he too wore glasses. Beside him was Sirius, carelessly handsome, his slightly arrogant face so much younger and happier than Harry had ever seen it alive. To Sirius’s right stood Pettigrew, more than a head shorter, plump and watery-eyed, flushed with pleasure at his inclusion in this coolest of gangs, with the much-admired rebels that James and Sirius had been. On James’s left was Lupin, even then a little shabby-looking, but he had the same air of delighted surprise at finding himself liked and included or was it simply because Harry knew how it had been, that he saw these things in the picture?

Edgar Bones  canon information

Edgar Bones (b.1958 – d.1981) was a wizard, son of Mr and Mrs Bones, brother of Amelia and at least one other person Samuel. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was possibly sorted into Hufflepuff. 

Edgar became a member of the original Order of the Phoenix and fought in the First Wizarding War. At some point he married a woman and had more than one child with her. According to Alastor Moody Edgar was a “great wizard.” 

Edgar was murdered, along with his wife and children, by Death Eaters sometime in the later half of 1981. His mother and father were also murdered. [wiki]

James roared with laughter.

Flesh hid the reality of being human from the body’s occupier, you couldn’t see what was happening underneath. Blood pumped, air inhaled and exhaled, emotions and thoughts generated all unwittingly. It was a miracle that it worked, so much so that it was easy to forget how fragile it all was. Until something went wrong. Then you looked down at your scraped hand, saw red and thought to yourself– oh my god, I’m breakable. Maybe it wasn’t easy to forget, maybe you had to forget.
