It took 4 years of the last shithead in office to fuck things up so dramatically that the world couldn’t ignore it anymore, and 240 years for it to get to the point where 45 even could become the chief executive of this shithole. It will take more than the 5 weeks 1 day (as of this post on 02/25/2021) that Biden has been in office for things to be fixed.

Yesterday I saw people angry at My Socialist Grandpa, Bernie, begging him not to remove the 15$ increase from the COVID bill. This is not his decision: the Senate parliamentarian (a nonpartisan rules lawyer for the senate) said the wage increase is outside the purview of the budget reconciliation. And honestly I was expecting that because they’re uh kind of right unfortunately.

This means 15$ wage is going to have to be its own bill. That’s a massive problem because the GOP and like four moderate Dems don’t want to pass it. And we need something like 60 votes to pass it anyway bc fucking Manchin and Sinema don’t want to kill the filibuster.

Anyone who has a moderate dem senator should blow up their phones. Esp if you got Manchin and Sinema. Tell them to stop being precious and get shit done.

Holding people accountable is important but it’s only effective if you direct it at the right people. Getting angry at Biden for things that are outside of his control because the US government system is ridiculously convoluted and deliberately designed to prevent quick change isn’t productive. It’s most effective to bully him for things he can’t control.

Also someone tell Sinema to join the correct party.
