Only three words to sum up this song: ‘Architecture won’t do’. Turner speaks in third person to his girl to let her know that the tours, travel and the hectic life of a musician on the rise doesn’t matter when she’s not there, waiting in one of the many airports. 'Cute things’ that one can see, the buildings, however interesting or overwhelming resulting in sight, are not enjoyable for him because ‘It don’t say the funny things she does’. In short, everything is irrelevant when there’s 'No signal or battery’ in the cell phone to appease the pain of the distance. And don’t try to lift our spirits because Turner responds ‘Don’t say owt cause you’ve got no idea.’
After all, missing someone is a feeling that can’t be explained. But in the words of the musician, can be described.
