Could you please reblog this if you are a witch who isn’t Wiccan?
Because I just saw this again
People in the pagan community need to recognize there is a WORLD of difference between being sick and having a chronic illness.
That difference? Don’t tell people who have chronic illnesses they can’t practice witchcraft because some 80s writer of wiccan books said that it’s wrong to practice witchcraft while sick.
Chronic illness, and those of us that live with them, is not the same as a cold, or the flu, or bronchitis. We live with these things. For. Fucking. Ever. That’s how it is, and trust me, I know my limits when I’m having a fibro flare, or when my anxiety is ratcheted off the charts, to know what i can and can not do. What I do know?
Chronic illness isn’t a do not pass go square in witchcraft. Don’t let these things hold you back.
That said, every witch has to decide for themselves when they’re well enough to practice and when they’re not, no matter what the illness. You can bet your ass that witches long before modern times practiced when they needed to. They made tonics for colds, and tinctures for depression, they didn’t stop just because of the sniffles, or of a bronchial cough, or a broken leg.
You aren’t every witch. Stop telling them when they can or can’t practice magic. Especially stop pretending as if chronically ill witches and witches with invisible illnesses have no space in witchcraft.
I have fibromyalgia, ME, and depression olive with this everyday and I am a practicing Witch and I always will be, my illness does not effect my craft

My Early-morning spell to make things less awful
This is a small spell I do on mornings when Everything Is Terrible and I Do Not Want To Be A People.
You will need:
- A hot drink of your choice, I use very very hot tea with milk in. Hot is important. Not so hot that your cup hurts you, though.
- A nice cup or mug that makes you feel happy.
- the ability to blow air over a cup.
Make your drink, maybe also make breakfast if that’s a thing you do. Once you’ve got your drink poured and piping, take it in your hands and have a little sit-down. As you hold the cup imagine the warmth in your hands is all the possible good things that could happen, and you are filling up your drink with good thoughts and good vibes. Blow the steam away from the cup, it is the negativeness and awfulness you are feeling. Once you have filled the cup with enough good vibes (and it’s cool enough), drink down the goodness and feel it warm you down to your toes.
If you want to add things like honey or milk, when you stir it in think about all that sweetness permeating your drink, your time, and your attitude with its milky or sweet goodness.
Proceed about your day with a belly full of not-as-terrible-as-things-were-when-you-woke-up.
Sometimes I say a little chant. You can use mine, or make up your own.
Give me good things, make me glad.
Today I don’t feel like being sad.
Drink is warm and drink is milky
Make this day fun and good and silly.
Drink is sweet and drink is yummy
Warm my day and warm my tummy.
I hope you have a good day!
Yay! Monday is over. Feeling drained already? This seems like a great pick-me-up.
Spells for you. )O(
