It’s funny when you genuinely become the best version of you that so many people decide to protest against you. You finally align and please that inner child, through all the heartaches and mistakes and the closest people to you decide that you’re too much? You know what they are saying to you? I am so jaded and insecure that I want you to be unhappy so I can appear to be my best self. Some people just want you under their thumbs because they just want what you possess. If people weren’t in secret competition and worried about their grass being greener things wouldn’t be as tumultuous. The way they react says everything you need to know. You really find out who’s there for you in your most vulnerable moments. I’m sorry if it’s people you never suspected. You deserve better.
