i just graduated and have spent the last 1.5 years trying to be an adult, lol! this is a personal project made by one person most of the time, so it takes a bit. love yall <3

While Obcy appear and disappear in the blink of an eye, entire stretches of land sometimes become tainted by their rotten magic, leading to an elevated level of activity. Water sources and livestock are especially high risk.

Its a common belief that animals can sense tainted magic better than the civilized races. Because of this, The Marigold Company often employs the use of shrub hounds to keep their noses out for an Obcy threat.

...Sometimes they might bring things back with them, though.

I miss drawing things for The Marigold Company! Even though the project has stalled, I look forward to getting back to it soon! Wanted to draw this to get used to all of my iPad Pro tools.

Heyo! Another little bit of art. This time of an NPC, in fact! Amadey, Centurion of the Marigold Company’s field agents! She’s in charge of training new recruits, organizing parties - basically all the combat and physical stuff associated with the guild!

She’s from a race called the Aktornik - a warrior people from the swamplands, best known for their love of stage makeup and symbiotic partnership with the living weapons known as Memoriam (That’s Pang, to the right. She’s a sweetheart).

Sorry for no updates! Post-college life has been crazy! 

Here’s a little doodle of one of the payable races, the Kroli! This is a subspecies of smaller Dwarf Kroli that live more near the center of the Petrified Desert. I hope to be able to post more information on them soon!

Hello hello! EXCITING THINGS ARE COMING!

UPDATE 6/20/18

Graduation and waiting for adult stuff like jobs to begin have turned much of my artistic focus towards commission work at the moment. HOWEVER - there is still a lot of stuff I’m going to get to show you guys very soon! 

My website now has a tab dedicated to the Marigold Company! Ooo...

A premium membership of Inkarnate is now in my possession! I will probably be using the program largely as a base, or at least making heavy post-production edits to maps that I create in it. However the premium version if Inkarnate IS commercially licensed. Sweet! 

The process of customizing the WorldAnvil page for MarigoldRPG is 90% complete. It’s small color adjustments from here, mostly! And then formatting and plugging in all the information after. This is a little preview!

All Lore is going to be available for DM and Player reference on WorldAnvil. It’s basically a big, pretty Wiki with all of the stuff you could need that’s not going to be shoved into the quick-start guide and over complicate things. It will be public for everyone to view! 

The Marigold Company is always going to be free. But, if there’s ever interest for support monetarily - it  would focus on the creation of playable assets, expansions and quests, maps/tokens/visual media, physical copies of the game, supplementary material, and subscribers having an active role in what kind of content they want to see, when, and in what order! 

Basically - a platform like patreon or ko-fi or any kind of interaction regarding money would be very donation-based. I’m always going to work on this project. It’s my baby! But it does have to be put to the side from time-to-time because it isn’t my job. However nothing involving patreon or similar would happen until after release. As said before, it’s going to be available to download through my website - and there will be options to donate if so inclined. But this is a passion project and I’m just happy you guys are along for the ride!

I just graduated college last weekend, so I’m taking a small break to chill out post-finals. But there’s art and lore to share very soon!

The Marigold Company made it into my school’s senior thesis show!

We’re still a little ways from release, but without my prof. @mikelaughead I wouldn’t have finally actually started making this thing, and it means a lot to me. I’m excited! You guys will be seeing up close versions of all this art (and way more) soon!

The test play of the starter campaign finished up last night! Everyone was amazing and it went really, really well. I’m so excited!!

UPDATE 4/14/2018

The Marigold Company was picked to be in my college’s senior show, and I couldn’t be more excited! Updates here might be slow as the weeks ramp up to that. I’ve got a lot of printing and drawing to do. 

All the Race Art and Rules are revised and finished! More illustrations will be made after I graduate, but we’re on track for my in-school goal. 

First draft of the quickstart campaign is almost there~!

download for the game will absolutely be hosted on my website. Did a small test run with another project and it worked out just fine!
