The past month of summer break has been lonely. Alya was gone with her family on vacation. Nino spends most of his time watching his brother. And Adrien...well Marinette didn’t know what Adrien’s been doing all summer. Surprisingly.
Marinette leans over the counter of the bakery next to the cashier where she was helping her mom with orders. Papa had recently made ice cream cookies for the summer time which made the bakery busy almost 24/7 and Marinette was exhausted.
An hour later Marinette was able to take a break and collapse on the couch in the living room.
“Aaaah the cool air feels so good.”
DING! DING! DING!
Marinette rolls over grabbing her phone. She almost fell off the couch reading the name on the screen who is trying to video call.
“A...A...Adrien!”
Tikki comes from the kitchen with cookies in her hands looking at the phone.
“Answer it Marinette,”
Marinette fixed her hair and takes a deep breath before pressing the answer button.
“A...Adrien?”
“Hey, Marinette how you been?”
“Great w...what about you?”
“Just come back from London and I now have free time, so I wanted to talk to you.”
“Really? Well if you can you could come over. Maman and Papa will be more than willing to give you some of our ice cream cookies.”
Adrien’s eye brighten.
“The new ones?”
“Yup!”
“I’m coming over.”
The call ends and 5 minutes later Papa was calling for Marinette.

Birthday Gifts #9
Today was the day. No more mistakes like last year and no akuma attack. Adrien's birthday has finally arrived and Marinette has been planning his gift since March. Now the September breeze brought sense back to Marinette as she made her way to the birthday party they organized for Adrien at the Park.
Marinette's heart fluttered when she sees Adrien sitting in one of the tables setups looking over his first "real" party. Marinette grip on the box she was holding tightened and she slowly walks over to hi,. Adrien looks at her when she appeared in his vision.
"Marinette!"
Adrien quickly sits up from his seat giving her the biggest smile she ever saw.
"Thank you so much for doing this for me. This is the best day of my life."
Marinette smiles brightly back at Adrien. She hopes her gift can make his day even better because this is the best day of her life too.
