Jester takes Beau on a pastry run

the new m9 profile pics high res from flamazon flime for u and ur besties unsanctioned use :3
Inspired by my recent post down C2 memory lane about fandom memory and incorrect info, does anyone else have some received wisdom that keeps getting repeated in the fandom that’s just flat out WRONG that they’d like to correct? I’ll start:
Marisha never said Beau was inspired by Sokka OR Korra. She mentioned at a con that the visual was a coincidence probably because she loves AtLA. Beau was actually inspired by Jessica Jones.
Taliesin did not intentionally kill Molly because he didn’t enjoy Blood Hunter mechanics. I don’t know why this conspiracy theory is still alive but I see it frequently.
The one from my original post: neither Taliesin nor Liam stated they intended to pursue a romance with their characters in C2. In fact both of them flat out dismissed it when asked at multiple cons in 2018.
Feel free to add any that personally annoy you!
It's not just that beau is inexperienced or too soft in the interrogation scene, it's that despite what she believes, she's a good person. While beau isn't a nice person a lot of the time, she is a kind person. It's not a weakness to not be able to torture, or execute a prisoner despite what people make think.
And it's important to show this side of beau bevause she thinks she's a bad person because of how she was raised., because of how zeenoth isolated her. But in the end she is not nearly as bad as she thinks she is. Like it's fascinating, even Liam comments on it in a talks episode I think, about how Beau hates herself so much she views herself as bad as someone like Caleb who murdered his parents and was basically training to be a member of the KGB or other members of the nein who have far more reason to feel guilty than Beau.
choosing to be a kind person even when you think you're a monster doesn't make you a weak person. I'm just saying I love Beau and I wish people would stop just acting like she's a failure because she doesn't have caleb's experience at horrible things
"Wow that Mighty Nein episode was so good I wonder what the fandom has to say about this show's main villain, Trent Ikithon--"
The fandom:

*Floats traitorously on your dash*

Someone who’s only watched The Mighty Nein animated series: Wow this is cool! I really like all these characters, Molly’s my favorite! No spoilers please :)
The comments: “DO THEY KNOW???” “hehehe…. don’t get attached…” “yeah I sure hope nothing happens to him” “no spoilers but… you got a big storm coming”
Thinking about the bitterness in Essek’s voice when he says “You know the queen will execute you if she discovers you have Typhros.”
He’s clearly terrified, but I remember thinking, ‘Really? Getting sick is a crime punishable by death? Or Typhros is such a taboo that any trace of it must be erased?’ because that’s how Essek makes it sound.
But Deirta’s conversation with Leylas this week shows that Essek has been misunderstanding (deliberately, willfully) the core of Luxon traditions. Deirta and Leylas don’t see this as an execution, they see it as a release from the endless life and an opportunity to return to the Luxon itself. Consecution means that den members don’t cling to life beyond the decline of their bodies, and that applies to their last life as well. You choose your own executioner because it’s a loving thing to do to shepherd them into their next life or beyond.
Essek feels alienated from and disgusted by the traditions of Luxon worship, and it’s prevented him from even attempting to understand how his mother might see it. Others have pointed out how he has been ignoring her wishes, and this episode really brought that point home.
Did we get the thing?
You ever feel like you always see what you want, but you can never quite get it? The Mighty Nein 1x08
