My name is Mars, I am 21 years old. My pronouns are she/her.
I am a Bachelor's degree student in Modern Languages and Literatures. I will graduate in October.
Next year I'll join the Master's degree in English Studies and specialize in Germanic Philology.

My interests include research, reading, watching movies and TV shows, writing poems and novels, and studying. If you want to know more about my interests, feel free to ask!
I am a huge Swiftie! 🪩
I am very friendly and generally extroverted. If you ask me anything I'll be very happy to answer!

This is supposed to be a studyblr inspired by the dark academia aesthetic, where I register my studies.
I'll post study inspiration, as well as tips and fun stuff!
I will reblog moodboards and quotes that keep me motivated and that will, hopefully, help you as well.

I could also post/reblog political reflections. I don't want to do this that often because I want this blog to be a little peaceful corner of the world. But it'll probably happen every now and then since I consider myself a very opinionated person.

Apart from these, I also accept asks and dms. Don't be afraid to ask me anything!
illegible handwriting, coffee rings on notebooks, putting gloves on only to take them off again, dark lipstick, walking to class when it's not raining enough for an umbrella but just enough to fog up your glasses, stone buildings, latin poetry, pen smudges, waking up while its still dark outside, cinnamon, cold noses, swaying trees, half moons, cuffed sleeves, silence
Banging my head on my laptop's keyboard, hoping that the keysmash on google scholar will produce me a nice and interesting 12th century Icelandic manuscript I can work on for my MA's thesis
I am no longer doing the 100 Days of Productivity, simply because I have too many things to attend. Luckily for me, most of these things will have interesting results which I cannot wait to share with you. I will keep posting pictures of my studies here anyway. I am also thinking of doing something new/special...but you'll see
Days are passing by so quickly. I have been very busy these past few weeks and I really look forward to the moment things finally start to settle down. On the bright side, I'll start with some interesting projects very soon with my supervisor, which I am very excited about. Stay tuned to find out more!
The first pic is a view of my library's stairs, which I love so so much
I swear to god that it feels to me I keep talking abt my supervisor, but that man is insane and I have yet to spend one (1) day since my graduation without him doing something absolutely crazy
Like, today he sent an email asking me if I wanted to work on an Italian translation of The Dream of The Root, from the Old English copy of the Vercelli Book. Like bro, chill, I graduated last Friday, what's with all the projects
My supervisor doesn't know about the crazy idea I have for my Master's thesis. He doesn't know. Oh, wait...what are you doing. Why are you explaining to me what I need to do. I haven't told you yet. How do you know. Did you read my mind? Am I really that predictable?
Graduating comes with a series of unexpected privileges. Like, I passed from being a normal student to having a drink (two, actually) with my supervisor, calling him by name and having him kiss my cheeks to thank me (it's an Italian/European thing, so don't worry) in the span of...four days. Like whaaat?
I’d like to thank [UniPD] for making me technically, on paper at least, a doctor.
Not the type of doctor you would want around in case of an emergency. Unless your specific emergency was that you desperately needed [a very specific fact on 9th century Viking raids in Northumbria]. Or, if your emergency was that you needed a person who can name over 50 breeds of cats in one minute.¹
