With midnight mass I just can't help but feel like I'm watching something that wasn't made for me. Idk. It's an interesting story and all but I can't get past "wtf is going on" and I'm blaming it on the fact that I'm an atheist with zero religious ties or experiences to draw on (and no trauma for that matter). It all feels equally.... alien to me.

Idk, one of the takeaways i got from midnight mass was that religion is neutral? Like it doesn’t really have a will, it’s just There and is interpreted in different ways by different ppl. I feel like I’m sort of coming from a similar place where religion holds very little significance to me and i enjoyed it immensely!
