Hey :] are u also interested in WW2?
YES! I am so into WW2 it's not even funny. I am not a tanks or planes guy, but I really just find the way the war's events unfolded interesting. Hearing about how ordinary people took matters into their own hands when all hope seemed lost is so inspiring. I also find WW2 so important to learn about because so many civilians and young soldiers died due to such brutal combat and the whole idea of total war. I visited the Hiroshima Peace Park in Japan recently and it was so moving, especially because I heard first-hand experiences from people whose families died due to the radiation. I've also been to Pearl Harbor, and that was an impactful experience as well, especially with how beautiful the memorial is. I like to visit places from the war to understand how real it was. Understanding why this war happened and the moral and ethical dilemmas surrounding it is something I ponder a lot, especially because of the recent political shifts throughout the world that remind me a lot of the interwar period before 1939. It is upsetting to think about, but I also remember that there are other people out there also notice these things because of their knowledge of history, which is why I consider WW2 to be one of the most interesting and important topics I have ever learned.
Sorry for the long yap lmaoo.
