WHY DOES THIS FEEL SO ILLEGAL?

...Okay so granted, from a technological standpoint it makes sense that it be harder to tell in the 60s in a situation like this (especially since there was a stand-in for Kirk hovering over his dead brother in this scene) due to the lower resolution of cameras
