MASON MCCARTHY ā DOLLY PARTON CHALLENGE
text message āļø mason
tana: was my flirting that bad in high school?
tana: no, just sticking to the truth. even if it's a compliment I'm not sure you deserve yet.
tana: so, she wasn't into him and he wasn't into her?
mason: depends on the recipient. If you actually liked them, then yes.
mason: why donāt I deserve it?
mason: hard to tell. She never really talked about her sexual escapades with me in detail. Iāve no idea if actual feelings were involved.
mason: at least, not with him.
mason: itās odd, though. he didnāt really seem like her type.
text message āļø mason
tana: you were always the one, true, alpha.
tana: over her purposely sending me a photo of her and puck, AFTER spending the week slapping her hook-up option #6 status on his roster all over her social media. she never read situations right and thought she had a 'gotcha' moment.
mason: if I didnāt know any better, Iād assume youāre flirting with me.
mason: that... definitely sounds like something she would do.
mason: she liked to wrong those she felt wronged her.
mason: or make them jealous.
text message āļø mason
tana: you did live for a spotlight. which is why I still find it weird you and Rachel never really went battle royale for it.
tana: did she ever tell you about our last fight? About puck or whatever.
mason: thatās the good thing about being male and female in a heteronormative theater age; enough male and female leads to share the spotlight. I never minded sharing with her ā or giving it to her when she clearly deserved it.
mason: I donāt... think so?
mason: if we did I donāt remember it.
mason: what happened?
text message āļø mason
tana: you're not a hot topic, mason.
tana: I have nothing to do with rachel, you know that, right?
mason: high school me would be offended by that.
mason: but... good.
mason: I donāt want him in my shit.
[ ... ]
mason: I do know that.
mason: you may not have been her biggest fan, but youāre not that heartless.
text message āļø mason
tana: why are you so worried about me talking to him about you?
tana: no, youāre overreacting. Youāre a 911 call away from being like cunterington.
mason: because itās none of his business, santana.
mason: we may be fighting, but even Iām not as bad as that dickwad.
mason: I wouldnāt do that to you and you know that.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā you told yourself āāāā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ( i wonāt be lonely ) because you are never lonely āāāāāāāā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā right ⦠?
so how come Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā how come Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā you canāt make your heart Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā stop ? screaming ? for ? ā¦
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ( iām not lonely, iām not lonely )
⦠except that you are

tana: new leaf, grinning and bearing it - whatever - same crap.
tana: we don't even talk about the case and your long-term relationship with your right hand isn't a hot topic either.
tana: you do realize you're overreacting, right?
mason: I'm overreacting?
mason: what happens between hudson and I is just that, santana. you had no right to stick your nose into it.
mason: as my friend, or his girlfriend, or whatever.
mason: and if you didn't trust me enough to tell me about whatever this is -- and I'm supposed to be your friend -- then how on earth am I supposed to trust you that you didn't talk to him about this stuff?
mason: I'm not overreacting. you're just not understanding.
inkedsevansā:
Pretty much, yeah. Youāve gotta be able to feel the clay to shape it properly. It aināt my wheelhouse so itās cool, but I think messyās supposed to be part of the appeal. But yeah, def wasteful if youāre not using every part of it. Damn, thatās rough. I know for a fact I hated being onstage, up until junior year and even then I only kinda tolerated it. So Iām right there cringing with you.
Iām sure you see all the little flubs and missteps being behind the scenes but speaking as an audience member, it was pretty great.Ā
I think I might leave it to the professionals. Iām sure I could only make something akin to the titanic in itās sunken form, anyways. I started getting the feeling about halfway through that a lot of them just didnāt care, they were there for other reasons. But at least they had fun in the end.Ā
Thatās good to hear. But I was more or less talking about the shouting match that little birdies keep spewing on about. Gotta love olā cport drama.Ā
mike-castleportā:
Think maybe they need it. Might help things a bit. I could offer prize, people love free stuff. I canāt talk though Iām not really big on coming back much myself, but Iām here now and I think itād be fun to try and get people in one room. Iām a magic worker sometimes, Mason.
Bribing old classmates to hang out. Thatās something Iāve most definitely have never heard before. Although, part of me likes that idea. Seems like lately most people are willing to do anything for a good enough bribe.Ā
goldenchildlynnā:
Really not in the mood to get into it, but Iāll be alright. I donāt know, maybe not as much, but my family is hereā¦Iāll have to come around every now and then I guess right?
I mean, technically, you donāt have to. You can invite your family out to you. But Iām sure thereās people here that would like to see you, too.Ā
hcclaringtonā:
More so 85%, but close. Of course I enjoy things. Iām not a robot.Ā
Isnāt that exactly what a robot would say, though?
mike-castleportā:
Thatās ok, because, wine isnāt really my thing. But Iāll take some bourbon, or if things are tight a beer will do just fine. Honestly, I should just try and get as many people together as I can, see who shows up if I actually offer to pay for the drinks.
you wanna get a pow-wow together for drinks? good luck. Itās starting to seem like people are wanting nothing to do with getting together with old friends lately. Or wanting to come back here in general.Ā
I was happy to see a lack ofĀ ānew year, new meā posts at the end of last year and the beginning of this one, but with the shitstorm that this year was met with already, Iād have much rather taken those. If anyone needs me -- please donāt need me -- Iāll be holed up in the bookstore until the end of break where Iāll reluctantly leave my cave only for the sake of the students. Maybe I can hide from the chaos instead of being forced to partake and live it.Ā
mike-castleportā:
Now that Christmas is over and I have a couple more days until I head back to my actual life, whoās taking me out for a drink?
depends on what your taste is. I canāt afford high-end wine on a teachers salary.Ā

tana: look, Lola, cut the dramatics.
tana: I brought him because I *thought* you guys were turning a new leaf and you could see him as a human other than the one-note villain youāve made him out to be.
tana: and are you in high school? putting me on blast for shit I told you in private.
mason: where on earth did you hear that we were turning a new leaf? I agreed to tolerate him for the sake of opening night so that this shit didn't happen.
mason: so that it went smoothly. for her.
mason: how do I know you didn't tell him shit that *I* told *you*?
mason: I never called him a villain. I don't trust him on this case.
mason: just like I apparently can't trust you anymore, either.
hcclaringtonā:
Iāve never really been one to quit anything. I was in it, I was going to stick through with it.Ā
that explains why you look miserable 90% of the time. do you enjoy anything?Ā
