“How can someone of your size bleed this much?”
You tell me, he wants to retort. ZERO seems frustrated about him bleeding all over his couch, but PUPPY has made himself comfortable (or as comfortable as he can be with an open wound across his stomach) and has no intention of moving. He grabs a pillow and shoves it behind his head, propping himself up just enough to examine the consequences of his mistakes.
The other walks away, and he doesn’t hear him come back. PUPPY isn’t bothered by the solitude. The wound will need stitches but right now all he wants is some peace and quiet. His head starts to nod, vision tearing with static and darkening in increments. It wouldn’t hurt to rest for an hour or two, would it?
A presence looming over him jolts him awake. He doesn’t remember falling asleep, which furthers his alarm. He tries to jump to his feet, only to gasp and sink back onto the couch, hands pressing down over the wound that definitely shouldn’t be continuing to incapacitate him.
What else have they taken from him? Why can’t he move? An injury like this has never stopped him before. He stares up at ZERO, exhaling a sharp and angry huff through his nose. It does nothing to ease the pain, but it’s not the pain that’s the problem.
“Hnn,” he growls, motioning in front of his face as if drinking from a glass. If he pours it on his mask, some of it will make it into his throat, he’s learned from experience. It’s not the most dignified option, but he’s past caring about what remains of his dignity.
