Karen didn't seem to like how harlequin's reaction to her tantrum was displayed ,how he hadn't lost his control nor dropped his sickening sharp smile , which she thought it was a prop they were using, cause to her the idea of a man having such sharp teeth was absurd in every sense possible.
She was also still enraged at how pierrot seemed to dare and lay his hand on her and force her to let go of her favourite toy friend to torment guide , someone had to tame direct such a poor foolish kind soul like Jane's. So untainted and untouched by the evilness and deceitful nature of the world and people around her. She wondered how delicious her reaction would be when she finally breaks. Would she be a broken shell or be a vengeful soul that consumed all or just go crazy and lose her mind. To her it was all just a game of waiting.
"Oh you and friend over here are having it coming. Your fellow clowns shall ever regret that you two ever crossed paths with me and my... favourite girl over there. Especially you two since you should actually be feeling blessed by just standing over here and breathing the same air as me."
She glanced at pierrot and jane , as pierrot was picking up the flyers from the ground with jane standing there , trembling like a startled bunny. Such a pathetic and pitiful yet rare and interesting display. She cannot lose such a rare and well-trained fool such as her. Jane was almost like a few steps away from breaking into tears which would be an embarrassing and downgrading jab to her reputation and self-worth but a delight to Karen's heart and sadistic soul.
Karen saw how those two would potentially make jane less dependent on her, as she was Jane's only 'friend' in this foreign county. She needs to be smart to find away to ruin any connection that could form between them three.
Jane went over towards harlequin and karen before bowing her head even more down almost bending 180° forward, her forehead almost touching the front of her knees.
"I am so sincerely and utterly sorry for miss Karen's behaviour and words , she doesn't m-mean it at all , mister harlequin. Neither you nor mister pierrot are all the things she said i promise, and i believe the other members are like that as well."
Karen's eyes widened in fury at how jane accidentally gave her name to the harlequin. She didn't want either of those freaks to know it.
She grabbed Jane's ponytail again, yanking her head back harshly so she would be standing straight again. And with one swing Karen's knee collided with Jane's abdomen.
The strike almost knocked the air out of her entire lungs, making her cough sharply, little spit splashed on the concrete. An arm warped around her poor abdomen with small beads of tears began rolling down her face while trembling and panting short yet fast and heavy pants to try and catch her breath from the impact. Almost as if she had just faced being drowned.
Karen pulled her hand away from Jane's hair and wiped it on Jane's shirt with disgust on her face as if she were just holding a dirty racoon.
"See? Your mouth seems to be the problem , your attempts and actions caused by your own judgement and thinking causes troubles to yourself and others."
She looked up at harlequin and pierrot with a glint in her eyes. In a soft and manipulating sweet voice yet full of venom.
"Look at what you and your friend had done to my poor girl and sweet friend. Oh the tears and pain on her face. It's all your fault for just standing here and making a conversation with her~ you clowns should leave as you cause nothing but pain and misery to people around you."
The half-assed threat Karen threw towards Harlequin fell on indifferent and deaf ears, it was way too predictable, almost painfully so, but it had a certain kind of malicious charm in its own way, a comically foolish type of way.
"Hm, a blessing is what brings fortune to someone, are you bringing fortune to me?" A demeaning tone was very present in the way Harlequin voiced this question.
Before Karen could project an angry reply back towards him, Jane hurried herself over to where they stood over and placed herself in front of them. She bowed so unnesessarily low, it almost looked painful.
Harlequin's smile twinged subtly as he watched this pitiful display, he couldn't fully comprehend why she was apologizing for something she didn't even do, was this the normal dynamic between them? Servant and pawn? Harlequin looked towards Karen, he noted the way her face immediately shifted to an angered expression. Whatever could that sour expression be for?
Harlequin almost said something but those very words died in his throat and came out as a low hum. He watched Karen's hand fly to the back of Jane's ponytail and painfully reeling Jane's head back, causing her to stand back at her full height.
Harlequin's eyes flashed a fraction wider, and before even Pierrot could react properly, this woman now known as Karen, made a daring motion sending a swift knee to Jane's lower abdomen. Pierrot was by Jane's side in less than a second.
Pierrot held the papers, the same ones that Jane tried to hard to collect. He kept in in mind not to drop them again while trying to aid Jane. He wrapped his arm carefully around her shoulders turning her to face his chest, keeping her sheltered.
Harlequin once again stepped in front of Jane and Pierrot, to block Karen from getting to them again. He's not doing it because he wants to shield them, no, but he would rather prefer for Pierrot not to give into any… impulses, especially so openly in public.
"That was quite the performance dear Karen." Harlequin paused and slow clapped before he brought the same hands to rest around his waist again. His eyes glowed an omnious green for half a second before dispersing. "but I'm afraid it's time for you to go. You're causing quite the ruckus, don't you think?"
A few people stopped to stare at the commotion, Karen was by far very distracting to passbyers in her pursuit to belittle Jane and the two circus members.
Pierrot's gaze dropped down and locked onto the sensitive skin on Karen's throat, maybe for a sinfully moment too long. The impulses that screamed at him rose very quickly, it was sudden and almost impossibly difficult to ignore.
His hand that was currently rested on Jane's back twitched slighty, the impulse itched painfully in the back of his brain, the hidden knives weighing heavier every second, becoming an impossible weight to ignore.
He could visualize Karen's pleas as he took the knife and slowly cut the skin, the layers of skin retiring to a gore filled hang and exposing nerves, before he cut the line all the way around her neck leaving no support for the bones that made up her neck, the way he would wrap his claws around Karen's fragile vocal cords and rip them out, leaving her speechless and unable to insult his lady
Pierrot wanted her silenced. Not merely quieted for a moment, but stripped of the cruel words she had hurled at his lady. The thought settled heavily in his mind, dark and tempting, carrying with it a cold sense of satisfaction. No more insults. No more venom. No more watching Jane endure the misery Karen seemed determined to inflict.
The kick to Jane's soft abdomen where her fragile organs laid was enough reason for him to give into those impulses, but a small clarified thought shoved its way through the messy idea, and tugged at the violent impulse he was about to take, this woman seems to be Jane's sister.
Would she forgive him if he did that? Would she be mad? Resent him? No he couldn't let that happen… he had to play nice, for Jane's sake. He tightened his hold on the small of Jane's back tugging her closer.
He looked down at the small creature in his posession, his eyes softening subtly. He tucked the papers away in his red jacket that tightly secured his torso, and then brought his hand to rest one either side of her face.
He slowly trailed his thumbs up to her eyes, and placed them down ontop, effectively causing them to close. He glided them along the now wet lashes, wiping the tears that streamed down away. He bent down and sent a soft kiss to her forehead, closing his eyes and inhaling the scent of her hair.
A gentle touch along his right elbow from behind would be the one thing he would feel, before the face would come around him with a soft and soothing smile on her lips. Her hands would then tuck behind her back as she would cock her head to the side, relaxed, as she spoke in a low voice that sounded like honey on the wind.
"Hey, hun. I... was hoping to find you. I wanted to thank you for all that you've done for me and so many others."
Her right hand would come forward and rub absentmindedly against her opposite elbow, sheepish and shy.
"You've been so patient and kind. I have nothing but my utmost respect for you--and if not for you giving me the red ticket, I would not have had the pleasure of getting to know you. I just wanted to tell you that I know what it can be like... to overthink and turn a small worry into a big monster."
Her wide, hazel eyes would peer up at him as she would continue on with a soft voice and a firm hand. But the smile on her lips and glint in her eyes spoke of a warmth that would light the sun a million times over.
"But, I wanted to let you know, I see you. I see your effort, and you have been lovely."
Slowly, she would press two fingers to her mouth, before reaching her hand up and placing it along where his mouth was in an action of an indirect kiss. Her hand would then move, the back of it stroking and running along his cheekbone with an aching tenderness as she then expressed with care to him.
"Please be sure to take care of yourself once in a while for me. Okay?"
- ❄️
The contact on his elbow did not surprise Pierrot in the slightest, and he could almost instantly tell who it was witout even looking, a sensation shot from his chest to his lower abdomen causing a knot to swell in the pit of his stomach.
Even though he could tell from the scent alone, he instinctively turned to look over his shoulder. Her beautiful face instantly made his face beam in a brightened and wider smile.
Pierrot watched her movements as she came to stand in front of him. He absentmindedly slouched his posture, to seem smaller and to be closer to her. He scanned the smallest movements, such as her eyes, whenever they flickered or shifted positions when she thought through what she was going to say next, or the way her mouth curved with each syllable.
He could read the thoughts flowing behind those beautiful eyes so well it almost hurt. He cocked his head to the side with her, his yellow pupils disppeared, his mask mimicking a closed eye smile. He listened dutifully and patiently, before he could even respond, he felt her two fingers touch his mouth.
Two small white pinpricks appeared accompanied by a look of surprise. Once he processed what happened the swell in his abdomen tightened, his face shifting from surprise to want. He gently grabbed her wrist and placed her palm to his mouth, kissing the center of it.
"Thank you, my lady.." He breathed out in a feverish tone as he stared down at her through lidded eyes. He gently wrapped his clawed fingers around her waist and tugged her closer to his chest. His grip still remaining unwavering on her hand, still firmly pressing her palm against his lips
Jane fixed her ponytail with shaky hands before taking a deep breath, holding onto pierrot's arm gently before letting out a small trembling apology while keeping her gaze lowered.
"I am so sorry... for causing you so much trouble today , Mr.pierrot...i will make it up to both you and sir harlequin... I promise"
She believed that the situation was all her fault because of her lingering longer than necessarily required on the street. Pierrot breaking the act and speaking to her , almost getting him into trouble with his co-worker who he seemed not to like him much and now they have to deal with sharp tongued queen bee who though everyone is below her. The title mister eventually returned to pierrot's name merely out of the guilt she was feeling towards the entire messy and unnecessary scene they were causing on the street. Making both clowns abandon their position and delay them from doing their jobs.
Meanwhile with harlequin and Karen, he was met with a disgusted expression instead of the soft and warm one he was faced by with jane. The contrast was quite amusing and clear. Jane was timid, sweet and considerate even when she tried to fight back against him , she shrunk back and apologised.
But this girl who is now staring dagger at him , she scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"Great! What i wanted exactly my day to start with. Fuck off you ugly weirdo! I am not giving off my name to a two cheap pennywise rip-offs. Leave the city you, freaks! Who even goes to circuses nowdays! Find real jobs instead of humiliating yourselves like that"
She slapped harlequin's arms which made the flyers slip and fall to the pavement , recreating the same sad scene earlier with Pierrot.
"bet you all are behind all these disappearance cases. Pftt perhaps you all are some messed up men hiding behind masks. Luring naive and pathetic nobodies with the survival instinct worse than a baby bird and the IQ of a jellyfish to do freaky messed up shit with them...who knows maybe you are also cannibals or something. Eating the bodies because no body was found"
Jane abandoned her safe post from behind pierrot and immediately went to chase after the flyers, gathering them carefully one by one , karen watched with irritated expression on her face.
Pierrot regarded the movements of her hand with a centered focus. He watched as she reached her shaky hands up, threading her tremoring fingers through her hair, parting two large sections, tugging on the two sections in opposite directions causing the elastic holding her hair to further its hold down to the surface of her scalp, effectively tightening the position where the weight sat of her hair sat on her head.
Pierrot noted her nervous behaviour, he did not like this side of Jane not one bit.
The way she apologized for little to nothing caused him great distress, he did not care that she was leading him down a different path, if anything it made him all the more happy. The feeling of dread and distain at the current situation knotted up in Pierrot's stomach.
He raised a shaky hand up almost touching her but he stopped himself, he wanted to lift her head up, he wanted her to feel confident and secure in herself.
But how could he do that if she wouldn't let him in? Again.. The title "Mister" rang through his ears shooting straight down into his heart, a feeling of unsettled dystopia settled deep into his bones.
Did he not give her enough reassurance to refrain from calling him that unpleasantary? It felt like all the progress he just made with her was stripped away in all but one single moment. He needed to talk to her about this matter later when they were away from prying eyes.
Pierrot rested a fisted hand next to his side to redirect his hand from making contact with Jane. He watched the uncomfortable interaction between Harlequin and this…human
Harlequin paid incredible attention to the lack of decorum and manners on her face, instead it was contorted in a nasty expression which only served to represent her soul in a very ugly light, more than it already was.
Harlequin's smiled stretched a little wider than necessary, his eyes following in suit by upturning in a subtle motion. He found the difference between these two very fascinating and maybe even astonishing, how could two very different creatures be related? Surely not by blood.
After this pitifully miserable woman smacked Harlequin's arms away, he didn't react like a normal person would, instead he simply straightened up to his full height and placed the back of his hands on hips, looking down at her through lowered eyelids.
He wasn't at all bothered by what this young woman had to say, if anything it made his day much more interesting.
"Huhum~ my! What a tongue you have dear one. Assuming all these things." He snickered. "Pennywise ripoffs is quite a title!"
Harlequin glanced over to where Jane was crouched down on the ground picking up the flyers, but he said nothing to her, instead he redirected his attention to the much more vulgar human. "Dear one, you are quite an observer. But a detective is only as good as his evidence. Huhum… I would be delighted to leave, but only if you could prove said accusation?" Harlequin finished his thought with a freigned thoughtful look.
Pierrot distressed by Jane's sudden movement to pick up those useless papers made something jump inside his core. He ran over to her and grabbed her shoulders, yanking her up to her feet before he thought about what he was doing. He gently grabbed the papers from her, and he picked up the rest of the papers, not wanting her to do it.
Yes, I am aware that someone unfortunately stole my game, modified it, and uploaded it to Google Play to profit from it. They have also made it accessible to younger audiences, which is both disappointing and disrespectful.
I am currently following Google's removal process, but unfortunately it is quite slow. In the meantime, I ask everyone not to access or download the app. Every visit and download generates visibility and revenue for the people responsible for this unauthorized upload.
This situation is incredibly disappointing and stressful, and resolving it will remain one of my top priorities alongside the game's development.
About the update
I'd also like to share some exciting news the script for this update is now completely finished!
At the moment, I'm focusing on fixing the code and cleaning up the remaining minor bugs before I begin implementing everything. Below you'll find a flowchart showing just how big this update is going to be. I always love giving players lots of different possibilities, and as a result the game's routes keep growing larger and larger haha!
And yes! its blur x3
Jane didn't seem to pick up the tension she was causing around her with the actions she was mindlessly doing out of the purity of her own heart , she was abit curious about pierrot's mysteriously clawed and gloved hands , they were an odd shape, same with harlequin's even though they seemed less sharper than his.
Upon the sight of the green ticket , she bit her lip before looking up at Pierrot then sighed softly as she didn't want to upset either of them.
"A ticket can only be used once, right? Um i can take yours as well ,sir Harlequin and use it next time , alright. Since...i already have a red ticket and kinda promised to use it tonight. So please um don't be upset. Perhaps... tomorrow i can revisit the circus?"
Out of sheer curiosity she wondered what kind of manager they both seem to have to cause such terror to pierrot and an excellent threatening option for harlequin to use against pierrot, was he actually cruel? If so then why didn't pierrot resign? He does seem strong enough to be working in any other job that required both of his height and his strong strength as what she assumed he had.
'How many colours do the tickets have?' was the question running through her mind. And did each colour give a different pass? Do both give front row seats?
She noticed harlequin's displeased/uncomfortable look which made her feel guilty for some unknown reason , feeling she did something wrong.
She slowly pulled back from the hug and reached out for harlequin's extended hand , just as she was about to grab the green ticket , a hand flew into the view and grabbed jane by her ponytail, pulling her by it to the hand's owner , a girl with blonde hair which was lifted up in a hair bun. Slim waist with considerable sized thighs and breasts. The clothing style of her was too revealing. Blue ocean like eyes, pity such beautiful eyes belonged to girl like her. Even her voice , scratching on an old board would be mercy compared to that.
"So this is where you had been slacking off! Speaking to two freaky clowns. Pftt something i definitely suspect from a freak such as yourself. Huff dad had been fuming in rage , your break is cut off early and tonight your share of the performance is reduced as well as a punishment. What would the crowd say if one of our performers were speaking to those freaky ugly ass jesters! You never fail to disappoint, jane"
Jane held onto Karen's wrist as she was in pain by how her hair was harshly pulled and treated.
"I... I am sorry! I..."
Karen cut her off with an annoyed look before looking at the two clowns.
"What's with that Christmas themes bullshit?"
Harlequin smirked a little wider and let out a snicker "But of course, Dear one, use it however you'd like." He looked to Pierrot with a cheeky grin.
"Seems she wants to use both of our tickets. How... fortunate, don't you think Pierrot?"
Harlequin tracked Jane's movement towards his hand, but just as she was about to grab it her motion was cut off abruptly due to her being yanked back by a force he did not yet register. He retracted his ticket, sliding it back into his overshirt. He glanced to the new face who was painfully holding Jane's hair. He didn't quite know how to feel about this new developement, considering this woman's words, they knew each other, most likely related by the fact she said "dad" ah, sibling rivalry at its finest.
He looked the new person up and down, yes she was beautiful, but she was annoying and aggressive which made her unattractive. The insults she was throwing towards them did not help her in the slightest. Even as Harlequin's eyes narrowed, the tight smile remained on his face unchanging.
Pierrot in his normal beaviour, jumped right into action without thinking and acted impulsively by grabbing this woman's wrist and twisting it so that it let go of Jane's hair.
After a moment the realization dawned on Harlequin that maybe this isn't as simple as sibling rivalry, which Harlequin was first lead to believe. Once Jane was tucked away behind Pierrot, Harlequin stepped between the woman and Pierrot.
"Now dear one, you came in so aggressively, so much so that I think you forgot to mention your name?" Harlequin bent down closer to her, and held eye contact. He kept a hand across his chest to seem less threatening.
Jane can easily defend herself with her ability by perhaps making a racoon or a stray dog or cat go and attack harlequin since obviously he was stepping boundaries, but yet again she didn't know the Iines that shouldn't be crossed between friends. What is appropriate and what's not between friends and lovers. Her social isolation was definitely a huge drawback in her life. Making her more vulnerable to any sickening, ill-minded person who would easily take advantage of her and strip her away from her purity.
She rubbed her hands nervously before lowering her head even more , mostly from sheer anxiety as she was well-mannered. She was also still hesitant with titling pierrot without adding the label 'mister' to it as well. Yet he told her himself that he didn't like the sound of it , so it would he disrespectful for her to continue addressing him with such title.
Upon harlequin's acceptance of her request/plea for pierrot's sake , her eyes lit up and she lowered her head more yet in more grateful manner than anxious one. "Thank you so much ,mister! And as for the offer to show me exercises to upgrade my skills. I shall not be greedy and take more of your generosity , kind mister! It would be absolutely beneficial for me to take lessons from a circus member which i assume are more skilled in shows. An amateur like me would learn a thing or two.... Sir harlequin"
She didn't get his inappropriate implication once more , giving him a more respectful title at the idea of him offering to be her 'mentor'.
When pierrot pulled her close to him, she smiled more before warping her arms around his chest , trying to 'comfort' him as she thought he was still scared from his manager's rage. Placing a soft kiss under his chin since it was as far as she could have reached. Patting his back in comforting manner.
"It's all okay , sweetie pie. Don't be anxious about any punishments...if your boss scolded you, then i will go and explain the entire situation myself to him. Alright, suger?"
She smothered him with nicknames out of comfort, her mind telling her that a good hug , soft kiss and sweet words are the appropriate action to comforting an 'anxious' friend and ease the tension. Bless her mind ,soul and her ignorance to what she was doing to the monster who was about to combust in her arms.
Harlequin stared into the distance at nothing in particular, with a look of distain. The current happenings were anything but pleasant for him. And Pierrot's stupid lovesick face wasn't helping, it flared up an irritation he couldn't describe, it uncomfortably settled across Harlequin's chest.
And not to forget those silly nicknames she was throwing around so carelessly made his skin crawl with disapproval. Does she not understand what a dangerous game she is playing? How bold she is, or she may just be as smart as a rabbit. A snarky smiled crept onto Harlequin's face as he recentered his thoughts.
Harlequin noticed her withdrawl, of course he noticed, but for once he decided not to comment on it, especially when it seemed to brighten up her eyes after hearing his acceptance to staying quiet. His smile softened slightly, but he quickly snuffed out the strange feeling that was warming up in his chest, and letting his face stiffen up into another uncomfortably forced smile.
He listened to her spew about "lessons" and "generosity". He wouldn't protest against "filling" her up with some "knowledge", but what fun would that be so early into the game? However a little teasing wouldn't hurt.
"Exercises hm? I'm sure I can.. stretch.. you in more ways than one. If you take my green ticket I can arrange a... "lesson".. just for you." His eyes darkened as he held out a green ticket for Jane. He held eye contact with Pierrot as he held it out between his index and pointer finger.
Pierrot froze, as a million ways he could dismantle Harlequin's body in the most brutal way possible flooded into his mind, but before he could think too far the irritation he felt for Harlequin soon disappaited and he melted against Jane as soon as he felt her smaller frame squishing up against his.
His pupils constricted and his body shuddered at the kiss, and he gently wrapped his arms around her and placed his cheek ontop of her head. He appreciated her words and her genuine worry for him, but he did not want her going near Jester, not even a little. Harlequin's words immediately left Pierrot's mind as panic from her offer spread through every nerve he had.
He shook his head against the crown of her head and frowned as his pupil's disappeared. Making him look like a sad puppy. Harlequin's smile disappeared as an annoyed expression appeared onto his face.
Jane seemed to pause at the fact that her little lie attempt wasn't really believable, she had taken already a note to try and work on that part once again in the future, yet she wasn't fond of the concept of lying in the first place anyways, but rescuing her new friend from being possibly scolded by whoever that person, who get mentioned alot.
'must be his manager, and by the sound that mister ,it implicates that he ain't a chill manager as well...poor pierrot having to deal with such heavy atmosphere and stressful working environment.'
She noticed the way pierrot was already gripping the bottle in choke-like grip , showing just how much stress and frustration he was feeling, ignoring how close harlequin was boldly getting close to her.
She did an action that was so unrealistically courageous to herself even , but it driven by the display of her new friend being bullied by his co-worker who didn't seem to care much about his fellow circus member getting hurt in the slightest.
Her hand moved up and she gave a small yet a pathetic attempt to shove harlequin away from her , her palm was lying flat against his uniform's front.
"Can you not let His m-manager know about this , just this once? And.... I would treat you on a hot-pot meal one day....um all three of us , it would be on me!"
That was her attempt to bribe him into not snitching on Pierrot , thinking he would cut down his paycheck or something.
On realising that her attempt of shoving harlequin Away had failed , her head lowered even more, making herself look more and more smaller , just by looking at her,it shown that how much of a timid doormat she really is as a person. She didn't seem to pick up at his inappropriate implication of the dance he meant in his mind, god bless her saint and innocent heart and mind for that.
"Please Mister harlequin....and...as for your offer....i can do it as well...um not quite sure about the type of dancing you are implying to, but i am flexible when it comes to taking people's favourite styles and tastes in dancing requests."
She moved aside abit just enough to be able to reach for pierrot's hand , her fingers tenderly warping around his gloved and clawed ones.
"Please don't worry, pumpkin...i am sure it won't be that bad..."
The nickname slipped ever so casually from her lips , it probably meant that she had already warmed up to him if she began to casually give nicknames to Him.
Pierrot grinned a little wider with underlying pleasure hinted in his expression, it was currently directed at how Jane tried to shoved Harlequin, even though it was unsuccessful, he relished in her obvious rejection towards Harlequin's advances.
Harlequin reacted to the shove by slowly narrowing his eyes and straighting up slugglishly. His grin stretched just a little when he noticed how she shrunk back, it made it clear as day to him that she was fearful of consequences after standing up for herself, how amusing and pitiful she is.
Pierrot's smile instantly dropped as Harlequin opened his big mouth again.
"How bold you are, dear one, pushing me away and then acting like you didn't mean to.. but no need for words, I know your intent." His voice lowered as the sentence went on. He saw how Pierrot's stupid grin fell right off of his face, as he began talking, shifting back to his previous sour expression, it made Harlequin very pleased with himself
The way she didn't even react to his implication made something click in Harlequin's mind. What an innocent kitten she is. He scanned her face, full of innocence and gullibility, he wondered if he could have fun with this new developement, it might not bother her, but it sure would bother Pierrot.
His mind snapped out of his thoughts when he heard her invite them to hot-pot meals… he wasn't particulary interested in such affairs, but maybe these hot-pot meals had different kind, maybe one of them was spicy, he's always loved trying spice levels at different places he visits. His grin rested a little more softly. Another good way to annoy Pierrot~
Pierrot's face lightened at the invite, but then tightened when the realization dawned on him that she ALSO invited him.
They were both pulled out of their thoughts suddenly when she changed the topic back to Harlequin not telling Jester about what happened. Harlequin relaxed his shoulders and tilted his head at her plea, once again calling him "mister" did he like it? He didn't know… it was new. No one used that type of title for them, it comes from respect and most humans didn't respect them. He also wasn't fond of nicknames, but this wasn't quite a nickname, and it wasn't condescending. What was her motive? More mercy by calling him something respectful, was she scared of him? or did she call everyone something like that? He can't tell.
Pierrot brightened at her saving attempt towards him, he brought his hands up to his chest and beamed at her. How sweet she is to him! A small reddening color crept onto his face. He needs her desperately and without fail.
"Since you asked so nicely, I suppose I can let it go unheard and spare him." He plastered a smug grin onto his face. Pierrot glanced at him with a cold glare. He didn't want him to ,,spare" him, but he did listen to his lady, so maybe he can give this stalky green bean a pass. Harlequin noticed but didn't acknowledge his glare. Then just as Pierrot gave Harlequin a pass he ruined it instantly.
"I can think of many ways you can be ,,flexible" with your dances, dear Jane. Would you like to find out?" His eyes darkened with hidden intent, but Pierrot knew exactly what he meant, he started to raise his hand directing it at Harlequin's throat. But before he could choke the life out of Harlequin a soft hand clutched around his. Pierrot stiffened as his face twisted into glee, red spread across his face. He looked down at their hands intertwined, his face was glowing with absolute joy, he could hardly hold it together.
As the word pumpkin fell out of her sweet delicate lips Pierrot almost combusted, his pupils constricted with shock and pleasure, he loved her so. Every word, every noise, every movement, he couldn't stand it. He squeezed her hand, and pulled her closer without realizing. Harlequin's face twisted into a grimace at the sweet display. He scoffed and looked to the side.
Jane tilted her head in abit shy of confusion at the slight yet subtle change of mood that pierrot had just had in his expression and aura around him , seems like he and the other clown have some sort of beef with eachother. So she being the sweetheart she is , did want to try and help them get closer in the future. It's already noted in her future plans to do so.
"Spicy food huh? I....do have a considerate tolerance to it ,i think....never really pushed my limit"
She muttered before turning around to meet harlequin's gaze then tilted her head sweetly , still looking as delicate and adorable as well.
"Hey , Mr.Harlequin, it's very nice to meet you, your fellow co-worker is just as sweet as ever , yet i was only helping him."
She never liked to lie or seem to be the kind who did that anyway but she would go against her morals and manners just this time to rescue her new friend from possible punishment.
"Ah ....no i just can use and understand sign language... that's a-all. By the way i....i am jane , jane jackson , a dancer performer at the theatre across the circus , at your service."
She gave a small dramatic silly yet light-hearted bow that would be given at the end of any show she did.
Pierrot's eye subtly twitched in the far corner, he seemed to be glaring daggers at the side of Harlequin's head. The air's essence tightened as the world around them slowed down, a heavy feeling settling itself down comfortably, or rather uncomfortably.
Harlequin sauntered over in a flamboyant stride, stopping far enough away to give Jane space, but close enough to create an uneasy atmosphere between him and her. Harlequin noted the way she muttered something about spicy foods. Dismissing the fact he already saw Pierrot talking, this further confirmed his assumption. His smile tightened as his eyes narrowed up with delight.
"Ahh, so he has been talking?"
Harlequin slowly brought a hand up to his mouth hovering a few inches away, and stared at Pierrot through lowered eyes.
"How delightful! Although don't you think a certain someone will be disappointed to find out about this?" He quirked a brow up. His voice sounding out an octave lower mixed in with a tone almost like velvette, but too bitter to be sweet.
Pierrot squeezed the plastic bottle that had been forrgotten in his hand, water slowly spilling out of the gap between the plastic and lid. Pierrot's eyes narrowed sharply at the stalky green provoker, who was doing a spectacular job at messing with him.
Harlequin thoughts shifted from Pierrot to Jane the moment he heard "Mister Harlequin" She said it so casually as if that's what he's meant to be called. He seemed to pause, his eyes flashing a bit wider before relaxing again as he composed himself to his regular flare.
"A dancer, hm? Want to show me some dances?" He waited until her bow was over before he leaned over her just slightly, his smile widened as he gave her body a slow once over just one last time. His eyes trailed up to her eyes, tilting his head to the left. He didn't believe her lie about the sign language one bit.
Pierrot's pinpricks shrunk, his face darkening at the obvious implication. His hand shook as he resisted the urge to maim Harlequin right where he stood.
"it's not good to lie, dear one. You shouldn't try to protect him from his own folly." He turned his head to look at Pierrot with a shit-eating grin.
Since Pierrot performed the ticket-swapping trick, it's likely he can do much more. After all, his experience must be vast. As well as more reasons to make the MC smile. But of course, this is just my guess. 😌
((A little hidden secret: Jane was the granddaughter of one of the very same people who had imprisoned and hunted the monsters in the first place. When she was 5 years old she nagged her older brother Jameson to do something about it as she didn't like seeing creatures in cages. So after so many attempts, he couldn't resist his little sister's repeated nagging, so he grabbed some acidic liquid and poured it on the cages' door hinge enough to weaken it. Jane would have secretly sneak in every now and then ,toss to the monsters some of her hardened candy (lollipops and such) , using her animal wispearing ability to send some stray animals to keep them company which were useful as snacks to ease their starvation. Yet when the monsters broke free ,her brother fled with her and moved away to another city. The memories of her interacting with them in the very far past is foggy in her mind , so she thinks monsters' doesn't exist and her parents had just died naturally.))
Jane rubbed her palm that he had kissed with a flustered face still then opened her bag once more to grab something out from it , after a small search in it, she pulled out a small bottle of water , small candy bar and a very familiar hard candy ,one that was often thrown inside the cage he and the others were imprisoned inside in the past.
"remember to stay hydrated in this weather, i would really hate if your suger level dropped from overworking yourself."
Her voice was so soft and caring, full of concern about his wellbeing. Her scent was oddly familiar but hard to spot on since it was mixed with the scent of her lavender body wash. She then noticed the other clown , who was still handing out flyers. She pulled out another bar of candy.
"also hand this to your fellow co-worker...you two must be exhausted. And i also can't wait to attend to your performance. It's my very first time going to a circus in my entire life."
- i love how deep your character goes! definitely a good thing to be brought up later! frey

upon seeing the water bottle, his eyes followed it intently, head cocked and bells jingling as he also stared at the candy bar. he hadn't at all thought about hydration, but she was right, it was getting hotter each day. but their suits were made to be durable and wearable even in warmer seasons.
gently taking the offered bar and water, he kept them close to his chest, dipping his head in thanks. “thank you, my lady. that's very thoughtful, and i will make sure to have these when i have a moment.”
pierrot stiffened, straight as a board with his once dilated, fuzzy pupils now threatening slits, and he casted a disdainful glare over his shoulder at him. returning to facing her, he quickly wiped the horribly loathsome grimace on his face and forced a grin.
“no, no, my dear. he's perfectly fine, he has had plenty of breaks today already.” voice lowered and eyes narrowed, it took strength not to accidentally crush the water and candy in hand, his chest subtly rising and falling with more labor. “and, he does not enjoy sweets. he instead prefers spicy food.”
having caught pierrot's awful look, harlequin sauntered over, flyers tucked neatly under his arm with a raised brow. much to his delight, it seemed as pierrot was actively speaking with the woman. wait until he heard about pierrot's little escapade. huhum.
“my, my, hello there. who must you be? pierrot's little friend?” harlequin's green pupils slid down her frame, committing details to memory, and he stood at a careful distance from pierrot, mindful of how easily he could strike out. “i'm the harlequin, dear thing. if i may ask, have you heard my dear co-worker pierrot's voice?”
pierrot stood to the side, eyes wide yet focused entirely on harlequin, hands twitching, the plastic of the water bottle creaking beneath his grip. he'd been caught, but in the back of his mind, he somehow knew it was worth it to talk with jane.
((that's alright! Haha well seems like i would be in your care ,frey :3. You both are awsome! Also send a happy mother's day to mommy jester lmao XD from both me and Jane. Finally take Care of yourselves and take your time to heal ,toasty!))
Jane smiled softly as her blushing increased drastically ,he could even feel the heat of her skin against his, hear the heartbeats in her chest fasten.
Her hand moved up shakingly, cupping his cheek where he was slapped earlier, her fingers were slightly shy close to the bandage she had given him , the colour pink decorating his white mask.
"such sweet words from y-you ,pierrot....u-um you should get some ice on this bruise....or it might get worse...a-also.... please take breaks every now and then ,okay? Staying in the sun for so long wouldn't be good in the slightest."
She didn't think much of the interaction as she wasn't used to ever making contact or interact with people since she was almost bedridden from when she was a toddler due an unknown illness, leaving her paralysed for almost all of her life , she eventually got over it just 3 years ago. Being fully paralyzed for almost 12 years and now she is only 23. She didn't get any education or certification. Her whole world and social life was built around her older brother, her crush Damien and his twin Celine, William and mark/Marcus (who got all missing in mysterious circumstances).
So eventually her mind knew the basics of personal space, to her pierrot was just being friendly and nice like any friend. Not getting all obsessed and insane with her. Friends act like that ,right?
((btw Jane has a special ability to speak, understand and order around animals and insects snow white inspired lmao but she was bullied about it ,so it might take her sometime to open up about it fearing it would make him and other members see her as a freak. Can't wait for her to interact with other as the doctor would be fascinated or she triggers jester's interest, her trying to fix harlequin's trauma about columbina lol so many scenarios.))
- thank you so much and will do! and yes very many scenarios bound to happen, can't wait! and ability noted, frey C:

his eyes fluttered closed, enjoying the warmth from her, a large hand coming up to rest on top of hers. being in her company had him already forgetting about the altercation earlier, the dull ache in his cheek fading gradually.
“oh, sweet jane, i'll be fine, i promise,” pierrot grinned at her, nuzzling into the palm of her hand, inhaling more of that scent to somehow ingrain it into his mind. “you've taken great care of me. but if you insist, i'll be careful. for you.”
his intense, heavy gaze scanned her pretty face, eyes squinted a smidgen and searching for any hint of unease due to his closeness, finding nothing that suggested she was even in the slightest bit hesitant.
giddy, he gently took her hand from his face, guiding it to face palm up, pressing a light kiss to her warm inner wrist. he wanted to do so much more than just a chaste kiss, but he refrained from coming on too quick, and slowly released her altogether once more.
he stood to his full height, stepping back and giving her space, much to his own dismay. “i suppose i should be returning now, my dear. you do promise to come tonight, yes? i'll be watching for you,” he lowered his voice for the last final bit, smiling sweetly. “so very attentively. and i look forward to our little after party.”
Jane gently started to calm down at his reassurance of not having to pay back ,the feeling of his clawed fingers at the back of her neck seemed surprisingly nice to her. Feeling so comfortable she leaned her ever so slightly into his own hands subconsciously.
"I-i see...um how about we go to the cafe instead....maybe you would be too uncomfortable to attend to the theatre in your attire...it was kinda inconsiderate from me. Maybe i can perhaps give you a VIP special performance all for you alone? That you would be my only audience at this one show? I have my phone and I can put up the music. The show can be wherever you want. Hmm...maybe at your place in the tent even? After i attend your show , we can meet you afterwards and then i would give you, your own show of mine"
She leaned forward and wispeared close to his ear with a soft smile , her breath hitting his cheek , her skin ever so slightly touching his as her scent flooded his senses which was similar to lavender.
"And the name pierrot really suits you...it was really nice to meet you. Although i wished it was in such better circumstances than this."
- frey's back with another one.. don't worry, toast will be back soon eventually! for now you're stuck with me 🤗

feeling her lean in made him shiver, his finger ever so gently tugging on the strand of hair wrapped around it. her being so up close to him was addictive for him, and his breath quickened, golden eyes in the form of fuzzy hearts again.
a private show? oh, she had no idea what she was doing, did she? before he could help it, he giggled like a schoolgirl, hand moving to the back of her neck once more, releasing her hair. her scent intoxicated him, and he knew in that moment, that was his favorite smell.
“oh, my dear, my own little show as a gift from you? just you and me?” pierrot's voice didn't hide his anticipation in the slightest, and his whole body inched closer, eager to be in her proximity. “that'd be so, so wonderful. i cannot wait to see it.”
he was getting ahead of himself and he was aware, and yet her eyes eradicated his precautions, his mind tethered only to her. having her whisper to him encouraged him all the more, and he let his other hand slide down her arm, stopping just short of her hand.
“oh, thank you, dearest. your name also suits you. it lives up to all your beauty, even if it's just one word. usually, words can't describe such things.” tone low and dangerously tender, he stayed close for far too long to be appropriate, eyes wide and happy, utterly drunk on her. “jane.”
( hello, hello! I'm Emilly, but Can calor me Emi, I came here for make an resquest rp with pierrot!!)
*Emilly, a nineteen-year-old girl from her home neighbourhood, was at the circus of horrors. It was the first time she had experienced a circus that was different from the ones she was used to visiting; having spent her childhood going to circuses aimed at children, this was a new opportunity for her to see some shows.*
*The atmosphere of the place had a horror-movie vibe, accompanied by background sounds that sounded like distant, muffled music. What was the name of this soundtrack? She wondered, but her eyes caught sight of a large, reddish tent situated right at the centre of it all. This caught the young woman’s curious gaze, her brown irises taking on a distinct white sheen. The urge to know what lay within was so strong that her of-average-height body could not resist; she took a few steps forward, moving towards the tent. The tent’s fabric, a pattern of black and red, was found to be open.*
“I wonder if it’s easy to get a ticket to get in? Well…” her thoughts began with a doubt, which led her to take out the aforementioned ticket, which turned out to be a red one she’d picked up earlier when the jesters were passing by, returning the favour hours before she arrived, and she’d taken a red one. “If it’s that colour, I can go in, right?”
*Doubt lingered in the mind that had let a sigh escape its lips, as it opened up to see who it might help to find their way and seek out the information.*
- heyyyyy it's frey again, toast is still out sick. thank you for the request! this one's kinda long, so check it out under the cut!

inside the tent, high-strung and cheerful music played, differing from the ambience outside, yet not too far from each other. lines that were overcrowded with people filed into the red tent, the bleachers filling up nicely.
the chatter from the crowd was loud, all buzzing with excitement. the circle, the center of the enormous tent, was illuminated by many spotlights, swarmed with jester-like individuals dressed in pink, running around and completing last minute changes to the set.
target boards were lined up, shackles nailed into their surfaces, prepared and ready. people hung from the binds, masks on their faces and limbs taut to the boards.
as the lights dimmed slowly, the ones in pink dispersed. it blacked out, only for a crimson light to shine directly upon a clown, prominently red with black accents to his uniform. silver hair glowed like a halo around his shadow obscured face, his frame deep into a bow. his bells gave a sharp jingle.
teetering, discordant music replaced the former, and in the clowns hands were daggers, their pointed tips glinting in the warm spotlight. moving, graceful yet striking, he threw one dagger after the other at the targets, each hitting too close and too precise, nearly splitting through their clothes.
the music built up, and one by one, daggers were thrown directly to the heads of the targets with sickening cracks sounding like gunshots throughout the tent, followed by limp bodies.
at the end note, the clown took a deep bow, to which the tent erupted in applause, and soon after, everyone stood, on their way to leave. they all piled down the stairs of the bleachers, getting in line on the way to the exit, their voices muffled by the outro tune.
the clown lingered, near the crowd of people, a hand to his chest and daggers tucked into his belt. he gave each person who approached him and gave congratulations a cheerful smile, dipping his head without a single word.
