I’ve noticed an influx of followers and I can’t really guarantee my activity here so I don’t want anyone to be disappointed. The best way to do an rp with me is basically approaching me though. “—Mr. Masrani,” Owen clambers down the metal stairs to properly greet the man, offering to shake his hand. “We weren’t excepting you-Uh, yeah, everything’s fine. The raptors are doin’ well…you wanna see for yourself?”

     Simon shook his hand as if he was greeting an old friend, briefly patting him on the shoulder. “Yes! I’d love to!” He almost looked like a kid himself. “I haven’t seen them in awhile, but I’ve heard good things about you and them. I’m looking forward to seeing how they’re doing.”

     “Owen!” Simon strode out to the raptor paddock in long strides, a wide grin on his face. “How’s everything coming along? How are the raptors?”

I’d really like to consider bringing this nerd’s sideblog back and doing some small stuff on it, but idek if I have the muse entirely. soooo... if anyone would like to do something, hmu on IM and we can chat about it?

“I’ll only be a moment,” he assured Owen before turning away to talk on his phone. Of course, that moment stretched into minutes as Simon began talking with one of the board members about an issue with the Masrani Energy subsidiary.

“…What? Rift? What are you talking about?” Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, and she shook her head. “Everything’s fine.” As fine as it could be, but she didn’t need to say that.

“Then why don’t we talk like we used to? Why do you not listen to me? I know this situation isn’t.. it’s not ideal but...” He sighed and ran his hand through hair, turning away from her and looking down. He just wanted to protect her.

“I–” Zara wasn’t ready for that. To be holding a baby dinosaur wasn’t on her agenda. She was always watching on the sidelines, because she was told that she was not ‘qualified’ to be a lab technician. But hey, she wasn’t going to deny her boss. “Sure … why not?”

He handed her off to Zara, supporting the raptor’s head until she was completely in his assistant's hands. “Remarkable. The kids are going to love them, don’t you think?”

Zara gave a small smile. She knew they would eventually grow and become far more ferocious than they were right now. “I’m sure, life is always amazing,”

“Do you want to hold one?” He gently gathered the raptor in his palms and held her out to Zara. They had already bonded with Mr. Grady and, really, it was a once in a lifetime chance. Who wouldn’t want to hold one?

The micro raptor, a new attraction the size of a pigeon, chirruped at the corporate giant from the other side of the wire mesh, its small claws clinging to it as it crawled over for a closer look.

“Well, aren’t you cute?” Simon crouched to her level. “Fantastic. Simply fantastic.” It was truly a wonder what they had accomplished here and he never failed to be in awe of the park when he made his visits.
