This is still one of my favorite pieces of animation of all time.
Unironically one of the best, most inspiring, lil' animations I've seen in ages. This is what I want to do when I grow up. If I had all the time and no financial burden, this is what I'd do aaaaaaall the time.
Body and brain are working again, so it's back to the commission mines. I really gotta plot out my text better xD I keep squishing up by the end.
Health's been rough. Life's been crazy busy. Barely keepin' the bills paid. Still can't complain.
Midwest Furfest has been pretty great so far. Getting to work on some stellar oc commissions and several of them have been action sheets, which are just a page of expressions and gestures. I'm at A32 in the marketplace.

The commission queue has been pretty crazy, and I'm really grateful for everyone's patience. Maintaining quality is important, and after enough hours, your brain will just stop producing acceptable results.
After a frenzied night, Ari cranked out four new Hasbin-inspired candles for Toon Fusion. We are like, all the way in the back xD.

Went to Akron Pride last weekend and it was amazing. Sales were good and all, but it had the best energy (and weather) we've ever had at an outdoor show. It's been a scramble trying to get ready for Matsuricon this weekend and Toon Fusion the next. Commissions have also been taking a lot longer than expected... but they're all turning out so good that I'm hoping it makes up for the wait. Also, social media is hard. Mad respect to people who can be both productive with their art AND posting about it. I'm pretty atrocious at self-promoting... and capitalism in general? Like, I wish I could just make stuff and give it away to people who'd like it. That'd be great.
weeks 11-20 on my weekly poster challenge this year, crazy I've actually managed almost half a year of getting these done. 1-10 here.

More fursona commission work from Anthrocon . I might've leaned into a bit too much into shapeshifter angst on this one, but the business card they provided had this lovely yin-yang back to back thing for them. I really really love these action sheets.

Ease comes with experience. Nothing on its own is "easy" without a tremendous amount of time and effort dedicated to making it so. Breathing oxygen took millennia of evolutionary dice rolls. Visual organs like eyes that required a similar evolutionary long-walk still can require tools that took humanity centuries to develop that are still being refined. "Talent" is simply an interest in doing a thing enough that you get good at it. Over a decade ago, it took me a week to make a comic page. Now I'm scripting/sketching/inking/coloring/typographing and posting all in the same half-day. There are two messages here. One is you'll get better with time and effort, the other is that I am a dumbass. Give yourself time to get things done. ... oh, and go read my webcomic over at masterycomic.com. It updates on Wednesdays. Three messages.
