Summary: Leo feels he hasn't been doing a good job at showing his love so he writes "poetry"

Leo and Jason have been dating for some time now and even though he isn’t a machine Leo is sure he understands how to love Jason. Even now the first time they are celebrating Jason’s birthday as a couple Leo knows exactly what to get him, A pair of glasses that can become goggles for when he flies off. It was perfect but the day before Jason's birthday Leo overheard Jason speaking to Piper.
“Don’t get me wrong I love him and all his inventions but sometimes it feels like he would rather have a “fixed” version of me than current me”
Leo was stunned and he could hear the hurt in Jason’s voice. He didn’t mean for Jason to feel that way he just wanted to help but back at his cabin looking at it he realised how Jason could get that but now Leo is determined to stomp this out and make Jason feel more loved than he ever has in his life.
His first stop for the Ultimate Love Appreciation Gift™ was flowers. He went over to the aphrodite cabin and to talk to them about flowers. They told him about the different meanings of flowers and asked what he was looking for. He explained about his qualm and they worked quickly to help him assemble a bouquet which contains symbolic flowers and ones that looked well together and ended with a bouquet of camellia flowers, pink roses, sunflowers, dandelions and daisies. Once they gave him the bouquet he admired it before sneezing and lighting the bouquet on fire. They all agreed that maybe flowers aren’t the best idea.
After racking his brain for hours and time running short he realised the solution and grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and wrote in the prettiest handwriting he could. Dedicated to writing a poem so beautiful Apollo would be jealous. Something to prove how much he loves Jason. He rewrote the poem over and over trying to get it right. Finally at 3:45 am he finished and passed out right there at his desk.
The next morning Leo overslept. When he woke up and saw the time he got dressed and dashed out the door. Jason was there waiting outside for Leo.
“Leo Valdez where have you been” Jason asked in a mock scolding tone
“Sorry Sparky, I was putting the finishing touches on your gift.” Leo responded. Jason raised an eyebrow
“But I thought you finished the goggles weeks ago”
“Yes but I overheard you and Piper talking yesterday so I decided to put together the Ultimate Love Appreciation Gift™ or ULAG for short” Leo replied brandishing the piece of paper. Jason shakes his head and looks at it
“Leo I did-” Jason stops midway while reading it and bursts out laughing
“ Leo I am sorry but this is the stupidest thing I have ever read did you talk to the apollo cabin” leo shakes his head and grins mischievously
“Nope all me baby, I know I am a poet to rival Apollo. Do you love it or love it?”
“I love it,” Jasons replies as they walk into the Hephaestus cabin.
