I was really proud of myself last night ‘cause I thought that I had this whole self-care thing in the fucking bag. I did a face mask, smoked a blunt, washed my sheets, rolled around in said sheets as I had my oil diffuser going with some lavender oil. Anyway, basically I was like – yo, I got this shit in the bag. 

And then I remembered that I sleep in until two in the afternoon, dry shampoo is my best friend, I wear the same shirt for three days in a row and eat only junk food. I’m shit at this self-care stuff. At least I can pretend like I am for about two seconds.

And while I would do a post just for say that, this one contains an early invitation to this year Porter’s Halloween’s party on that special day!  You can come with a costume, with your piyamas, alone or with whoever you want; we will welcome you with open arms. Apparently being busy means falling off the face of the Earth. I think I’ve only seen my classroom and apartment this past week. That and so many lesson plans. This is what happens when you offer to cover other classes. Never again. Now…where’s the wine and who is providing me with it? 

Being a teacher is quite a life, isn’t it? I’m so glad I don’t teach high school anymore and my schedule is a lot more relaxed now. For a fellow teacher, though --- I’ll share wine. What do you prefer? Red, rosé, or white?

Coming back from a social media cleanse (10/10 do recommend) to news that my main Instagram and Twitter accounts have finally been verified was fucking sweet. Not as sweet as finding out that my two KeyKings workshops have been overbooked, so we’re adding two more dates. That said, because there were too many for three workshops, but we haven’t quite filled the fourth yet, if you’re interested in signing up, just let me know. It’s a three hour intense workshop with me, learning the DJ basics. This batch of beginner shops are free, but we’re going to be charging for the follow-up classes (not mandatory) if you choose to take them. It’ll be a fucking bargain, though, I promise.

Verified social media accounts? That’s exciting! I’m sure seeing that check next to your username makes you feel good, huh? I’ve always thought DJ’ing was interesting... when is this workshop?

Usually I feel an excitement when my birthday approaches, but this year I’m just not really feeling it. Maybe it’s ‘cause I’m three years shy away from turning 30 and it’s making me realize a lot about my life. I don’t know. 

Everyone is saying how they’re ___ years from turning 30, and I don’t appreciate feeling old. 

It really makes you wonder about your life as the years pass by, right? Sometimes, it’s just not a good feeling.
