The most basic, intractable fact about mental illnesses is that you simply cannot willpower your way out of them. The only exceptions to this rule are the ones I have, which continue to disable me due to lack of determination and other grave personal flaws
I don't care if your identity doesn't make sense, I don't care if you present one way and identify another, if you're a trans girl with a beard or a trans man with tits wearing a bikini, or if you "put no effort in" to transition, I SUPPORT YOU, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO JUSTIFY YOUR IDENTITY TO ANYONE. I do not want to justify my identity to anyone, I struggle to do so in fact, and to expect any more of anyone is to be hypocritical.
trans men are underrepresented, but if you start blaming trans women for that you should put a toothpick under your toenail and kick an anvil.
whenever discussing the erasure and lack of representation of trans men in media, it's best not to fall into the assumption that just because the image of a trans woman has a more prominent place in the cultural zeitgeist, doesn't mean they have better representation.
That's like saying black people in the 1920's had better representation than asian people because minstrel shows were popular.
Im fucking losing it over this entry. Don't get mad.
dont get mad ok
Demily was sort of intentionally designed to veer away from the standard vtuber design conventions that focus on uber-pretty anime girls in crazy extravagant outfits. the intention was that she be a very expressive, more cartoony character with a simple, practical outfit you could see out on the street. strong character design and relatability was prioritized over idealism or broad appeal. her huge bush of hair gives a distinct and easily recognizable silhouette, and her very malleable eyes, mouth and eyebrows ensure she can express a wide range of emotions, in a more extreme way than you see on the average anime-style vtuber. there's also a lot of subtle asymmetry in her design, to further make her seem relatable rather than idealized. the less-is-more mentality was constantly at the forefront while designing her. I'm glad to see it recognized
If Spider-Gwen had a bi flag on her wall there wouldn’t be any debate as to whether or not she was really bi
“Oh but I think that it’s that her version of Peter was trans so that’s why—”
This conversation would not exist if it was a bi flag or a pan flag or an ace flag
Why are you so eager to convince yourself that she’s not a trans woman? Why is that?
“I don’t mind characters being trans but I hate that it’s made their whole personality can’t it just be that they’re trans and the narrative doesn’t have the call all this attention to it? Just let it be subtly there”
Aight here’s a trans woman who’s narrative is thematically linked with her transness in a way that enriches both her story, her characterization, and the story around her who doesn’t ever mention that she’s trans (but y’know she has a trans flag in her room in the background subtly like you asked)
“Uhhhh yeah she isn’t trans where does it say that she’s trans and also why would it matter that she’s trans? Stop projecting yourself onto fictional characters”
"Your comics don't have a lot of broad appeal"
Uh, you mean the comics about ME? ME? A TRANSGENDER WOMAN who is, on her best day, a loose collection of character defects masquerading as one dysfunctional person? ME?
I am lacking in broad appeal? My, often very personal and tailored to me comics are lacking broad appeal?
Well I've got news for you, I am a BROAD and I am VERY appealing so how does it feel to be wrong?
can I be really honest?
the next time I post a selfie and somebody comments that I should "start an onlyfans already" I'm gonna really get mad.
I'm proud of my body, because I worked very hard to change it. but just because I like my body doesn't mean every picture I post is automatically sexual. that's something you decided. yes even if you can see my bra. it's a good looking bra. I'm proud of it. it's not sexual. it's there to hold my boobs.
I'm not titillating you. I am bragging about my chest size. don't conflate the two.
I show you what I choose to show you, because I'm proud of my body, and you don't get to demand more or sexualize me. figure your shit out.
The claim is not new — the Miami Herald published its findings in summer 2025.
source for the congresswoman thing as well, because i hadn't heard about that:
The Trump administration has repeatedly attempted to restrict or thwart congressmembers’ access to ICE jails.
this is how portal ended, i'm pretty sure
@demilypyro
Being a trans woman can mean attending your friends' funerals before you attend any of your friends' weddings, and I won't forgive this world for that
I am a trans woman and a former gambling addict and I don't like Uma Musume because it's a gacha franchise and gacha is one of the biggest problems plaguing the videogame industry today. it's flagrant exploitative dark pattern design, which disproportionately targets neurodivergent people, and the amount of money and talent that keeps going towards gacha games because their dark patterns make them so profitable is stifling the industry from making art that is not exploitative. I think gacha games need to be heavily regulated, and until that happens I think pretending not liking a gacha game is transphobic or racist is very silly.
OMG ! I have this bag !
I love it so much !
