Been thinking about ADOW again and about Matthew and Miriam. I know Matthew has apologized countless times for Bertrand's death, even did penance catholic style, to the point where Miriam had to tell him to stop, otherwise she will never be able to be in his presence if he keeps making her remember. The deed is done. Decades have passed. They have to move forward.
Fast forward to the 21st century. Diana dies. Matthew somehow doesn't throw himself off his tower at sept-tours. Miriam watches him like a hawk. One afternoon, when they're the only ones at Les Revenants, Matthew goes down on his knees in front of her and apologizes again for Bertrand's death, because now he knows and understands the devastating pain that Miriam went through. And he asks for her help to be there for his children. Miriam cups his cheek and brings their foreheads together. It ends up being the first time Miriam has accepted his apology for Bertrand's death.
Hi yes, so I log in and you DEVASTATE ME LIKE THIS??

It's so funny to me that Mary Shelley, her husband, John Polidori, and Lord Byron had a competition to see who could write the best horror story and she wrote fucking Frankenstein. Imagine losing a competition that badly. Imagine just doing a silly little competition with your friend and she basically invents a new genre and creates one of the most famous characters in fiction. Imagine being proud of your little story and then she shares one that people will still read every day in 200 years. Imagine doing a writing competition with your wife and she becomes so recognizable that you'll always be known as Mary Shelley's husband

What just happened? I don’t know. I needed to step outside to get some air and then, bam, I was here.
“Diana, do you remember the stories your mum told you when you were little? The Shadow Prince that lived between the sunset and the moonrise? […] What if it’s him?”

being on tumblr is just so cozy... you know what i mean? instagram and twitter are all flashy and loud but tumblr is as cozy as my bedroom with scented candles on a cold November night
A thing about November is going to bed when it's dark, and waking up when it's dark and going to work when it's still dark and eating dinner in the dark, embrace the dark, become the dark.
