Have so much respect for vets and veterinary nurses (because fuck calling them techs, they’re nurses) tbh. Like if you work I the medical field, think back to learning human anatomy, yeah? Was a bit of hard work, right? Like, not so easy. Now imagine having to learn the anatomy of different species. Wow. Now think what you do when you first meet your patient. Ask questions, right? Medical history, where does it hurt, are you nauseated at all? Yeah forget that too because your patient can’t answer if it hurts when you press here, most of your patients are even pretty set on not showing any signs of discomfort at all.

Idk it really grinds my gears when people are like ‘oh REAL doctors’.. No, they are real doctors, and real nurses, and they have to study damn hard and work damn hard every day.

Things still going well. Making PRs again, which feels awesome. Competing again in July to finally qualify for raw nats. Maybe we'll look into cutting to 63kg after that. My "goal" weight is 150 to get me back to where I was before Japan, and I feel my body is different at this 155 than it was the last time I was at this weight.

I was inspired by @dicy138 to do a face comparison. About 20 lbs (including a decent amount of water weight for the meet) in between these photos thanks to @teamproscience. Whenever I put on weight, I avoid smiling in photos which is really sad. I don't think the size of my cheeks is the only thing that needed to change for me to smile more; I think I have a lot more to smile about now and I've finally stopped scrutinizing myself under a microscope.

If you want more examples of the voter suppression/bullshit that happened in Maricopa County Tuesday, here’s mine -

I live in a city of 439,000 people, 64% non-Hispanic white and 30% Hispanic. According to the demographic distribution, most of the population lives north of University, and that’s where about 80% of the Hispanic population lives. My city had 3 polling locations, all within 2-3 miles of each other, ALL (one was on University, but in east Mesa where all the retirees are) south of University rd. The city is 133 square miles and all 3 locations were in predominantly white areas 3 miles from each other.

It’s ridiculous. Pima County has 1/3 the people Maricopa County has and had 4x as many polling locations.

The person in charge of the polling locations said it was the fault of the voters standing in line. Are you kidding? She won’t resign either.

Regardless of the results of the preliminary, it was a gross fuck up on the part of Maricopa County. I hope they remedy this by the time the national elections happen, because in a red state we had almost as many democrats vote in the primaries as republican voters. And that’s NOT counting the amount of democrats forced to use a “provisional ballot” because of a “computer glitch.”

I haven’t posted anything on here in ages, but I thought I would update a bit.

Cut down to 70.9kg by weigh-ins which was 20 lbs from where I started (though partially a water cut). Was fully expecting to bomb out because my training hadn’t been going well. Was handled by my awesome coach Kelsea and she got me 9/9. I won first in my weight class and had a blast. Bodyweight and all-time PRs were had.
