“Alright, bye guys,” Dream signed off and ended his stream with a click of his mouse. With a sigh, he sat back in his gaming chair and stretched out his back, feeling stiff after sitting still for so long.
He could still hear George talking across the room—his room, actually—but when his voice soon stopped and the room lapsed into silence, an idea popped into Dream’s head.
Smirking slightly, he got up out of his chair and silently moved over to where George was set up, behind his green screen. All Dream could hear was George’s mouse clicking and him mumbling, so he got ready, smirking wildly.
In one movement, he violently shoved the green screen back from where it was hanging and yelled, “boo!”
George immediately reacted, flying back in his chair and letting out a blood-curdling scream, before noticing that it was just Dream who scared him and laying a hand over his heart, which was undoubtedly racing.
Dream dissolved into laughter at George’s reaction, throwing his head back and wheezing loudly. George was still trying to catch his breath, one hand still on his chest as he accused breathlessly, “You scared the shit out of me!”
Dream, still beaming from ear to ear and giggling a little, bent down and wrapped his arms around George from behind, resting his head on his shoulder. “Sorry Georgie, it was too easy.”
“You’re such an ass,” George complained, rolling his eyes.
“Awww, George is maaaad,” Dream teased, before gently kissing his boyfriend’s cheek, trying to get him to smile. It worked—George went from pouting to smiling shyly, and Dream kissed him again, just because he loved George.
Sighing happily, Dream peered at George’s left computer screen, trying to see what he was up to, and saw that a Twitch chat was open, messages coming in so fast that he couldn’t even stop to read them fully, only gathering little snippets of what they were saying. He kept seeing his name, and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion for a moment, before he realized that George’s live-streaming software was open.
He shot up with a gasp, nearing hitting his head on George’s. “George. George, you’re live. You’re live-streaming.”
George looked confused for a second, before the color drained from his face. “Oh shit,” George immediately grabbed his mouse and frantically started closing things, ending his stream as Dream put his hands on his head, the realization that he just accidentally face-revealed hitting him like a ton of bricks.
Complete silence filled the room once George had shut everything down, and they slowly turned to face each other, faces white and eyes wide.
“Fuck,” they whispered, simultaneously.
