Returning to the double kitchen flat would like to point out some other odd details:
This is clearly the newer of the 2 kitchens and I suspect added in a recent renovation. There is no draining board for the sink, sink is frankly uncomfortably close to stove, & almost no useful working space
Both kitchens have the same style of cupboard door? In other respects this one is pretty clearly older

The kitchens are reproducing. Here we can see the larval form of their offspring. As it grows older it will produce more cupboards. Eventually it will sprout a sink & stove and be ready to cook!

One of the things I miss from ye olden days is when ship names weren't just amalgamations of names.

Any situation in which the grades are "bad enough to punish" is a situation in which your child is already struggling, and needs, more than anything, your support and affection.
If you punish them you will teach them nothing but how to loathe
And that their worth is dependent on what they can accomplish.
Oh, teaching them that their worth is dependent on what they can accomplish is fully intentional a lot of the time...
And then they become adults who burn themselves out and have a self loathing if they don't get that "topper" score or specific grade. Adults whos mind can't seem to tell the difference between a bear attack and failing an exam. Teach Ur children to have high standards...to not judge themselves too lowly...that builds confidence but, don't pressure them to follow what U view as perfect/right score or grade for a subject. Don't push for perfection...it's not possible.
i wanna say fuck you to anyone who shame disabled, chronically ill & neurodivergent people, especially homebound folks, for "spending too much time on their phone/on the internet/etc." when it's the only (Somewhat) accessible way for them to experience the world. many people don't get to get out much even if they want to because of their disabilities. shaming someone for trying to connect with the world, make friends and engage with hobbies in ways that are accessible to them is beyond cruel and unnecessary
