The US lost the Vietnam war and yet as an American, surprise surprise, most of the stuff I read about it or information I even have access to about it is from an American perspective. Most of the English language information out there is from the American perspective. In some areas of the country children are still taught that we won the war. Propaganda and history writing by the losers is not a new thing. Ramses ii of Egypt lost the battle of kadesh big time but he still built gigantic friezes saying what a great job he did. The victors aren’t always the ones with the gigantic war memorials and super widely spoken language.
