In my opinion, I fear Hazel being a daughter of Hades is way too important for the plot and the same goes to most other Godly parents if the seven- BUT you know who could be a son of ANYONE and it wouldn't make a difference in the plot ???

part of why i’m so into the beatles is because genuinely they are the most entertaining celebrities to have ever existed. paul mccartney is addicted to lying. he is the unreliable narrator of his own story and often for absolutely no reason at all. john lennon would regularly crash out publicly and tell the press about it and then a year later be like “yeah i was actually full of shit that time i was just in a bad mood”. he tried to start gay rumours about himself in the early 70s and then was like “why are none of the gay men in underground gay clubs in 1973 telling the world about seeing me at underground gay clubs”. george harrison was so full of polite english rage it’s actually comical. he also participated in a 3 hour guitar battle with his best friend for his own wife’s honour. ringo has threatened the entire world with peace and love. they all acted exactly like i would if i was supermegafamous and it’s so fucking funny

This is the monument at the Allied cemetery in Arnhem, Netherlands, the site of the WW2 Battle of Arnhem (1944).

They stop here on their way to Hamburg in August 1960.

According to Tune In, Allan Williams (their manager at the time) wanted to stop to pay respects for his cousin who had fought there and had buddies who died there. Barry Chang (Williams’s wife’s younger brother) was taking pictures on this trip and took this one. Williams claimed John stayed in the car because the sight of the graves sickened him.

For context, John (and Ringo) just missed being conscripted when the mandatory National Service ended in April/May 1960.

John said he always had plans to avoid it any way possible, including fleeing the country. But either way, Hamburg and probably the band as we know it wouldn’t have been possible without this policy changing exactly when it did.
