New Weekly Article!
In this week's article (our first during Pride Month!): "Who cares if we look like a girl or boy? Paul McCartney and gender envy", reader Mason @waxywolf explores Paul McCartney's fashion sense in the 1970s and how, to modern eyes, it can look like a relaxed and fluid gender presentation. Mason explores the concept of "gender envy" and how Paul's image influenced his own gender journey. Not to be missed!
Have a wonderful week, Beatle People!! ✌️
Paul McCartney and gender envy
‘be normal about the Beatles (and especially John and Paul)’ challenge comprehensively FAILED by Stuart Maconie ❌
can't believe we got old man mccartney scream in 2026 😌
I've been thinking all day about how great his voice sounds. Like, I just took it for granted the first 15 times I listened to the album?
I was thinking this! He’s managing his voice so well, and so ambitiously, across this album. Lots of different vocal tones and approaches within his current range, from the scream to the rock voice to falsetto and even soft harmony backing vocals. Any fragility feels like an expressive choice, not reaching for something he can’t do any more.
