THE EPISODE HAS ABSOLUTELY LEFT ME IN SHAMBLES. THE REPEATED SONG BEING CARRY YOU HAS ENDED ME.

TK Strand pasó de mudarse a Texas totalmente destrozado luego de recaer en las drogas porque su novio lo engañó y no buscaba nada serio. Hoy está viviendo con el amor de su vida en la casa que los dos compraron y más enamorado no puede estar.

I enjoyed Red V Blue but it’s been bugging me all day that Carlos wasn’t more involved in the storyline.

Imagine if the episode had been about Firefighters V Dispatchers (I don’t know why they would fall out, but Owen could piss off anyone so…) and instead of Grace having a prominent role, it centred on Dave. Imagine instead of cute and funny Grace and Judd moments, it all centered around Owen and Dave. Imagine that at the big confrontation, Grace was sitting on the sidelines cheering for the 126 while Dave was the one on the field in the centre of all the action. Imagine if it didn’t show Grace having any conflict about where her loyalties lie, or not getting any ribbing from her colleagues because she had a husband on the other team. Imagine if at the end of the episode when Dave shows up to make amends and sit down with the 126 for a dinner that Grace isn’t included in.

It was a good episode, I enjoyed it. But there was so much potential for character and relationship development wasted. Like, Carlos is so polite around Owen, it would have been so much fun to see him being conflicted between wanting Owen’s approval and being on the Blue Team. Or getting to see Carlos and TK navigate a rivalry so soon after getting back together.

This isn’t even a Give-Carlos-More-Screentime rant. It’s just genuinely baffling that they sidelined the only cop character in the main cast, one that is dating someone from the fire department, and didn’t involve him in the story about firefighters v cops. No other show would do this.

Imagine OG 911 having a Red V Blue episode, and it’s all about Buck fighting with Officer Madeupname while Bobby and Athena have no scenes together and Athena sits on the sidelines. Imagine Greys challenging Station 19 to a softball game only instead of any of the established cast of Station 19, the focus is on a never before see firefighter. Imagine any other show creating a conflict that put a main couple on opposing sides and then giving them no scenes together and sidelining one of them to give all the attention to a random guest star.

It just wouldn’t happen.

Kurt’s real shitty biphobia aside - I’m absolutely sure I’ve ranted about it before and it’s like cartoonishly bad as a line lmao and Blaine getting so angry about it is absolutely justified bc Kurt is being supremely shitty - I don’t really blame Blaine for drunkenly making out with Rachel and then wondering if he’s bisexual, that’s like, douchey but mostly fine bc they’re not dating and Blaine is still mostly unaware of the depth of Kurt’s feelings, but Rachel IS being real mean bc she knows Kurt likes Blaine and that’s shitty and I don’t blame Kurt for being shitty with Rachel. Though ultimately Kurt’s issue is Blaine could be “not gay” as if that somehow means he’s no longer a viable love interest, when Blaine is very clear that he’s still attracted to men, he just might also be attracted to women. That is the definition of biphobia, the idea that Blaine’s (theoretical) attraction to women automatically disqualifies him from being considered part of the community or a potential boyfriend for a gay man.

Lol I guess I did wind up ranting about Kurt’s biphobia. Tune in next time to hear me rant about Santana’s biphobia when we get to the season she dates Demi Lovato. I’m sure I’m gonna be a lot more mad bc ya kno Brittany actually *is* bisexual and doesn’t ever get to call out the woman who will be her wife OR a man she considers a close friend for directly stating that because Brittany is attracted to men and women, she’s not worthy of love.
