Two feet away, Mikey’s arm with the bag droops. He too tumbles back onto his bed, annoyance replaced with a shell-shocked sort of resignation as he sits down. He picks up the bottle of lube that rolls into his thigh and stares.

“I can’t believe I’m really going to sleep with you.”

College roommates (if I remember correctly??) Mikey and Pete are hopeless virgins, though no one believes them but each other... queue painfully awkward first time with each other to just get it over with 😶 a little angsty and deals a little with internalized homophobia, but I quite liked this.

I’ve been obsessed with this fic since the idea was conceived. This fic has everything… fake dating, kid fic, FAKE ENGAGEMENT, mommy issues, the list goes on and on. Frank is 24 with a kid he has to raise on his own, and has isolated himself so far that the only person he talks to is his daughter. Who can’t talk back. He’s faced with a court battle after an awful run in with his daughter’s maternal grandparents, and Gerard steps in at just the right time to help. It’s a fantastic story, and I have it on good authority that new chapters will be going up very soon. PLEASE make it your next read!

An absolute rollercoaster of emotion, and a very bumpy but ultimately cathartic journey with characters who are deeply unwell and don't always get things right, but they make each other better. Frank-centric, and the characterization is incredible and the relationship building (ships and friendships) is stunning. This series is fearless in the face of things that are scary, displays health and growth in things that are complicated, and the day it was finished, I cried.

It’s such a joy to read about Gerard getting all flustered and annoyed about the hot construction guy, who ends up pulling back on the sleaze and revealing himself to be so sweet.

This is quite possibly my favorite MCR fic. Ever. While incomplete, it functions PERFECTLY as a oneshot, so please don’t be scared by that “incomplete.” The prose is stunning. I still think about the “he wonders if, one day, his little girl might touch the sky.” quote regularly. The premise is that Frank and his daughter move out of the city to upstate New York... you can imagine how cute it is. Please, give my favorite fic a chance.

This..... now THIS is a masterpiece. Possibly hands down the best Danger Days fic I’ve ever read. It hits every mark!! Compelling sci fi that teases the familiar characters in front of you like a carrot, while being told from The Girl’s POV. The Girl is trying to escape captivity in a BL/Ind compound, and the Killjoys are other prisoners she meets along the way. You want her to succeed on every run, just as much as you want her to stop and rescue the Killjoys. Not to mention, the writing itself is intense and accurate, every word like an arrow in a bullseye. Just trust me, you have to read this one.
