She wasn’t sure what was more confusing, the fact that he was still trying to talk to her or he’d used the word ‘friend’ when meaning her. Elise wasn’t sure what she was supposed to say now, completely thrown off of her game. “I mean… sure, I guess?”

The smile on Theo’s lips widened. “Great!” He exclaimed, before realising where he was and lowering his voice a little. Which, for the record, was still louder than ideal for a library. “So, do you have your life plan figured out yet?” He asked, tilting his head to the side, and fishing for some ideas. It wasn’t that he didn’t know what was expected of him, but more that he was searching for a loop hole that people -- his parents -- would approve of.

Elise came to the library to avoid people. Silence was literally enforced but apparently Theo was one of those people that didn’t care. “Don’t you have your like… life to plan or something?”

Theo tilted his head to the side before shrugging. “I guess so. But that doesn’t mean I can’t have conversations with friends on my breaks from that. And hey! Maybe you can help!”

“Oh, well, that’s okay.” Theo offered her a smile and shrugged. “I can always repeat it.”

“You– You want to help?” Andrea sounded unsure, apprehension and confusion filling her at his suggestion. “Have you done anything like this before?” Of course if he wanted to learn, she had no intention of getting in the way of that but she didn’t think it would be a good idea for him to assist on this project until he had some experience behind him. “I guess we can talk things through, that’s if you’re being serious that is.”

“Well, not exactly. But I’m willing to try! If you need the help.” A genuine smile spread across his lips. It was true that he would probably be more hassle than help, but Theo was always willing to give it a go. He felt he was probably more help in these situations than anything more intellectual, anyway. “Okay, awesome! I might need planning permission first, but I’ll work on that!”

They will notice the similarities and put it together and automatically love it.” Jamie had to bite her lip to keep herself from laughing, not wanting to put a damper on his enthusiasm. “No, maybe not this time. We wouldn’t want to scare them and have them thinking you’re melting.” 

“Okay!” He beamed, happy to know that while he certainly didn’t look like the best Olaf in the world, she seemed to think they would buy it. “Good enough for me.” He laughed lightly. “Oh, yeah, it’s not summer so it wouldn’t make sense for me to be melting.” He nodded, not really taking in the true point to her words.

What is something that always makes you smile? ♡

Puppies. Lots of puppies. See, even thinking about them!

“Yes, I get that I look ridiculous to you but it makes the children smile and that is what counts.” Jamie rolled her eyes as turned to face them. She was used to the judgement and weird looks when people saw her in her costume but it had never stopped her.

Theo looked down at his hastily put-together Olaf costume that matched her Anna perfectly and then back at Jamie. “Do you really think they’ll believe I’m Olaf, though? It’s a tough role to fill when you’re not actually a snowman.” He gasped and you could practical see the lightbulb floating above his head. “Maybe I should take a bucket of actual snow with me! Or, wear it! No... that might melt... But the bucket!”

What is the weirdest thing you've ever done?

Oh! When I was younger, I had a drum kit and thought it would be really fun to paint it. So I rolled it out into the hall, filled it to the brim with water to clean it before putting the first coat on. The drum burst when I tried to lift it and empty it, so the entire floor was soaked with the water!! But I still ended up painting the drum kit a mixture of bright red and yellows. I was painting with a floor mop, and most of the paint got on the floor. Is that weird or just funny? I don’t know but it’s fun!

Ashton, obviously. Or my sister. Depends on what mood she’s in.

Justin had no idea what was going on when he woke up that morning but the gaggle of people wandering towards the old square had piqued his interests and he was quickly getting dressed and making his way out of the b&b. He still hadn’t managed to convince Rowan to go home which meant that he was stuck in Aramore for the foreseeable future because staying in the snow was less painful then going home without his sister and having to deal with the wrath of their mother.

Once he got to the Town Hall, he let himself linger at the back of the crowd, eyes scanning the people around him as he waited for some sort of clue about what was going on. Names were being read out and people were wandering off in pairs and he was still just as lost as he had been when he had first saw everyone moving towards the Hall that morning. Except then his name was being read out along with the name Theodore McMorgan. Who the hell was Theodore McMorgan? Justin hung around after everyone started to move away and hoped that this Theodore would find him on his own. He still had no idea what was going on but all of a sudden there was a kid stood in front of him and that was that. “I take it you’re Theo?”

The name ‘Justin Black’ was not familiar to Theo in the slightest. So, instead of running to seek out whoever it was that was his partner, he had to try and wait rather patiently. Something he was not often accustomed to. Yet, he managed, somehow -- and despite his constant looking around he also managed not to strain his neck. Finally, he met the person he assumed was Justin Black. He nodded at the other man’s question and smiled. “Yep. That’s me.” He held a hand out. “And you’re Justin?” He said, a very well-educated guess considering it was either that or this Justin was a no show. “So,” he began, dragging the word out a little. “What do you want to do today?” He asked, taking in the man a little more now. He didn’t recognise him, so Theo’s first assumption was that he was new to town. Considering he would speak with just about anyone, it was very possible. “We could go anywhere you want. Ooh, what about the forest?” He suggested and barely a moment passed before he continued. “Or maybe the lake - it’s practically frozen now. Or we could go to the farms. Or maybe...”

Have you ever had a crush on anyone?

I’ve had some... There was Margaret in primary school, and Lucy & Charlie in secondary school. No one at the moment, unless I haven’t figured it out yet...

It had been hard to find, and took even longer to get here with the Storm always causing delays but it was worth it. Max has read it twice now. He knew he couldn’t take it home, so he appreciated Aiden stashing it for him in the meantime.

“Little young to be worrying about a career arent you? Unless you’re one of those kids eager to be just like their parents.”

Theo looked up at the new addition to the room and smiled. He caught a glimpse of the book that was set down on the table and while he felt a little warmth come to his face, it was cleverly obscured by the fact he was already embarrassed enough about flinging a number of his own books to the floor. Leaning down to pick the remainder up, he listened to Max’s comment.  “Maybe.” He said, slumping back down into the chair after picking all of the books up. He reached up to rub the back of his neck. “I’m not eager...” He trailed off for a moment before leaning in. “I’ve just been told that I need a serious career.” He wasn’t sure what an unserious career was, really, yet somehow he still had a long list of them. Picking the right career was hard when there was only one acceptable option out there. “Do you think I would be a good businessman?” He asked, the seriousness of his tone undermined by the fact he began to laugh immediately after the fact.

Andrea let out a deep breath as she considered the question, she placed her pencil down onto her sketch pad and looked up at him with a tilt of her head. “I suppose in theory, yes. It would be a big project and one that isn’t a solo job which is also why it would be costly.” She couldn’t work out if there was any seriousness behind his words. “Well what sort of treehouse are we talking? I’d have to spend time with you planning it as well.”

“Okay.”Theo nodded in consideration. “Ooh, what if I helped? Would that help with the cost any?” He said, offering her a wide smile. He knew he wasn’t all that experienced, but surely he could be of some use. “I haven’t got any solid ideas, but I have about 5 different things that I think could be cool.” He admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. “Though there would be some convincing to do...”

Aiden didn’t know whether he really wanted to answer the question or whether to beat around the bus. If he told the truth then he’d look like he was trying to get some sort of sympathy, if he didn’t then it would look like he had something to hide. Eventually he settled on his answer. “Eh, just family shit really. My dad wanted to come home so I came with him.” It was as good an answer as he could come up with without giving too much away. He sat on the edge of the table as he continued to explain what he was doing, nodding along. He picked up one of the books that wasn’t open. Test Drive Your Dream Job. “Life, huh? Sounds… intense.” He flicked through a couple of pages, trying to see whether the book actually gave useful advice. “So… what job are you hoping to test drive?” He asked, lifting the book to show the front cover.

Theo tilted his head to the side as he listened to the other man’s explanation. He gave a quick nod and his hands moved to reposition his cap. “Makes sense. Is it just you and your dad? Have you been here before?” He asked, not realising that maybe he didn’t want to answer a whole load of questions. But, they were out there now without the slightest hint of thought on his part, and it was definitely some form of procrastination too.  When one of the books on the table was lifted for him to inspect, Theo felt a little warmth in his cheeks. How silly was it for him to be sat there in the library reading books about this stuff? The blond boy simply shrugged. “I’m not sure -- I’ve thought of some things... Like working with animals or I thought it might have been cool to like build things or make things myself and do that, or I don’t know.” He sighed, almost defeated but after a moment offered a small smile. “None of those things are suitable.” He said, sounding eerily similar to his father in the moment. “I just don’t think business is very fun.” Theo shrugged.
