Hey so are we celebrating Eileen's birthday on January 27 (anniversary of her first appearance in Into the Mystic) or November 21 (anniversary of Golden Time, when she was resurrected and thereby sort of born again)? pros of 1/27 is that it follows Cas logic. pros of 11/21 is that it won't be overshadowed by Dean's birthday (1/24)

I like to go with July 27, assuming she was 6 months old when her parents died. It makes another parallel to Sam, who was 6 months old when Mary died. The flashback in “Into the Mystic” says it was 30 years ago. So, the episode aired January 27, 2016. Her parents died January 27, 1986. Eileen would have been born July 27, 1985.

Eileen let out her breath in a single great gush as she flopped backwards onto her bed. Her stomach flipped in nervous, excited jitters, and her hands instinctively scrunched at the blankets as she remembered-

God, he hadn’t even known how beautiful he looked, the golden hour cascading through his hair and over his cheeks. Looking up at her, grinning, like she was his favorite thing to see. She hoped, no - she wished she was, didn’t think she could be but desired it nevertheless. He was certainly all she’d wanted to see in that moment, even if she hadn’t know it ‘til it happened.

Can we talk about how when everyone reappeared, Eileen was all alone on that sidewalk. Sam probably took her phone with him when they found it, so she had no way to reach him. What about her keys? If she still had them she probably would've gone to the bunker.

Other people came back not knowing anything had happened, but she knew. Sam texted her beforehand, so she knew something was wrong, she was scared, and then when she came back she was all alone, still not knowing what happened, and no one even tried to find or reach her? Sam just moved on

Worse than that. When she returned, her car had been stolen! It’s what Sam and Jack drove off in when they separated from Castiel and Dean.

I love her so much.

But also, I love that the show actually did Deaf interactions and ASL right. I was actually on the verge of tears just because of the little stuff that so many shows forget. Like when Dean leans over to make sure Eileen can see his face on the screen. And when Sam doesn’t point the camera the right way, Dean makes sure that he does. There was no shouting or awkward over enunciation. They just talked like people. But they made sure they were facing Eileen any time they spoke to her. It was the little stuff. It was so considerate. I loved it.

I ship Sam and Eileen. But mostly just more Eileen. Please.
