I LOVE this game because it’s like 7-8 people all participating in a game to entertain ONE big dog and that’s amazing

“There’s a stray cat that hangs out around my neighborhood. We give her food and water and she accompanies us on our daily walks. Over the last week, she has been extremely clingy and affectionate. She hardly ever leaves our porch. Today after our walk, she brought us her kitten. I feel so honored.”

Mother cats will often take in babies that are of similar age to their own. While her kittens are a week or so older, she is very accepting and took this one without hesitation. Foster queens are often used in rescue situations for nursing kittens, because its much easier than a bottle baby.
And dont worry about the mouth being open - Mama is doing what we call a Flehmen response. She’s pulling the kitten’s scent into her mouth to analyze the smell better.
