notes are cool, but comments are what actually fuel inspiration. I would trade a fic with 5k notes and no comments for a fic with only 100 notes but they’re all people reacting to the fic ANY day. do you guys think I write for numbers? I write for words. I give you my words, I want to see yours… as a writer, I’m by default a words person. and yeah, it’s cool when a fic reaches a milestone and I know that it has some kind of recognition, but enthusiasm is so much more meaningful.

Show just your favorite authors/writers some love and support or even writers/authors you read one story from! Little something always takes us a long way! I put emotions and meaning into the words i write out everything single day and i put time and energy and stay up late trying to develop a story! Yes! Oh my gosh, I write a Prince Caspian fanfic and I see that I get a lot of views, but no one comments or even likes... I would love it if someone, even just one person, commented "Great chapter!" i’ve got something to say about shipping real quick. shipping characters, having OTPs, making edits, fanfics, etc, is fine as long as it’s fiction characters. when it comes to REAL PEOPLE, actors, singers, whoever, it’s NOT okay. they are real people with real lives, feelings, and relationships. even if you think two people are dating please just leave them be. if they want to keep things private you should respect that. I’m sick and tired of people shipping actors based off rumors and “chemistry” and things like “that scene was way too real to be just acting” because I hate to burst your bubble, but that’s literary their job. ESPECIALLY when they are in relationships. once again, keep in mind that they are REAL people, not just made up fictional characters, before you make comments about their personal life. please and thank you
