Mere WordsĀ Ā Levi x Reader
Levi Pov
There she is, (y/n). Lying on the ground with her hands under her head, only her cloak between her and the grass. Tch, filthy. Iāll make an exception. I pull my cloak off and lay it beside her and lower myself onto my back. She doesnāt flinch but keeps her gaze on the clouds above. I put a hand under my head to be more comfortable. It stays silent, not a word is spoken. Only the sounds of nature. There is a warm breeze as I keep my eyes on the sky. I feel at peace. Beginning to feel drowsy, I glance over at her. Nothing has changed even though quite a bit of time has passed. As the sky begins to turn shades of pink I close my eyes.
"I could look at the sky forever." I hear her say quietly as if she didnāt expect me to hear. then.. "Why are you here captain?" As I realize she's talking to me I open my eyes "What do you mea--" I try to say.
"..with me?" she continues, cutting me off. "Donāt waste your time." she says. She sounds resolute but with a hint of sadness in her voice. Of course I donāt want to bother her, Ā but I know why Iām here. I let out a sigh as I begin to say "This is new for me, and Iām unsure how, but thereās something I want to prove to you." This girl deserves more than mere words. I want to prove to her by my actions that she means something to me. But I wont just say it. Because Iām also proving to myself that I can care for someone. That I donāt have to push away my emotions. She has no idea that over the months of her being in the Corps how Iāve silently observed and watched her from afar. There is something about her that intrigues me, that reminds me of myself. She needs someone. As all the memories and small interactions weāve had from the time weāve barely known each other pass through my mind I turn my head toward her. Her eyes are closed now as a tear slowly rolls from her eye into her hair. "I want to believe you." she says. Then she rolls to her side facing away from me. Under her breath she says "But I donāt know if I can."
I feel daggers in my heart. not from the words she spoke but the hurt that resides within her tone. Someone hurt her, broke this girl. Tch! I furrow my brows at the thought. If only I knew who so I could show them a thing or two.
For some reason all I feel in my heart is determination. I want to be the one to prove to her that she is worth it. I want to be the one to heal her.
I have longed for someone to be there for me for so long but now as a lay here looking at (y/n), I only want to be that for her. She is worth it and I will do whatever it takes for her to know that. As I watch her lay there silently, it begins to get dark. I have made my decision. And I will not regret it.
(This came to me as i was trying to fall asleep. i had to write it out. it is a personal point of view and how i picture levi dealing with someone like me. thanks for reading and please give feedback! this is my first time writing anything ever! i do not own this artwork or the character levi.)
