more zigoro because he’s my silly lizard man and i am thinking about my mortal kombat ocs a lot recently. colors of these pictures inaccurate and incomplete obviously, because i was just having a good time. i love him he is just a guy

his execution for having the whole zaterran transformation mutation gene was going to happen when he was around 6-7. they probably get executed in different ways depending on area, but he was going to be basically burned alive on a pyre with a few others because that left “nothing for the family to mourn”, as the mutation zaterrans were not treated as people but rather a disease. leaving nothing helped the zaterran government dehumanize them further and reinforce their agenda. he managed to get out of his bindings as it started to burn, but he was a child of course, and he fell flat on his face. the burn scars are from where his face came into contact with the burning wood and stones and various junk that formed the execution pyre.

he’s stuck (due to the modifications he made to himself to be stronger) by default between zaterran and human form and can no longer go back to disguising himself as a human/edenian fully, which makes things a bit difficult! he can transform fully into his Lizard Beast Guy Thing form though, and it’s rather crocodilian and skink inspired in design. in his more humanoid form, he also has scales up his back that fade up towards his neck and towards the sides of his back, and these connect to the scales on his lower half.

hello tumblings… here is my guy. he is a mk1 oc. his name is zigoro but his like Silly Stage Name if you will is caiman. he is 7 feet tall and i thought it would be funny if the giant lizard man would be named after a small lizard. he is zaterran, mutant like syzoth and kameleon, he modified himself to be more deadly because he loves killing evil zaterran officials bodily. you know, because they tried to execute him as a child. but also he loves grooving and is easily pacified if you rub his tummy or give him scratches.

ate too much pizza and now i am in pizza tummy ache. but here’s another one of my mk1 ocs.

his name is medici. long ago during the renaissance, the medici family commissioned many great artisans to make a work that would be the pinnacle of their craft. this resulted in the creation of this automaton, brought to sentience by magic. he was considered lost to history for many many years.

his introduction is tied to johnny. he bought this very fancy old cabinet at an auction only to open it up and wake up This Fucking Guy who had been stored there inactive for hundreds of years. being the art history fixated guy that johnny is, he recognized this and was like Holy Shit but medici just. kind of ran out in the middle of the night. and didn’t come back until days later when he was like wiufyfhh i don’t know what i’m doing please help me. johnny does what he does when he finds a freak in need of a home and takes him to liu kang. medici had no name but takes up the family name as his. he eventually becomes the curator and studier of artifacts at wu shi academy, keeping them safe and nicely catalogued.

due to the nature of how he was made, he holds up quite well to physical damage, exhaustion, and attempts to steal his soul simply don’t work because… well.. his soul is artificial, which makes him perfect for studying magical items which can have strange effects on more fleshy beings.

his fighting style is however entirely physical. he is incapable of channeling any of the energy that animates him into an outward form, and even if he was, it would probably kill him because he wouldn’t be able to control how much comes out or how. it would be a lot like forcing out all of the very energy that keeps him alive at once with no control over it. you could think of magic a lot like Blood for him. so it slowly seeps out when he’s dismantled, but he can simply be reassembled before too long and he’s good to go. he is very flexible and agile with inhuman strength, so despite his lack of special offensive abilities, he’s able to keep up well enough in a fight to protect the artifacts he watches over.

all of his taunts and fatalities and brutalities are references to famous art or just silly art related things; here in this image he’s in the pose of the statue of david, i have this fatality in my head where he just shoves a chisel into your skull with a hammer and it’s like wow what a perfect shatter point (you just fucking explode) and all that’s left is a skeleton in some goofy pose.
