I think Occtis and Azune are a fascinating relationship because like yeah yeah on premise we have the non-sorcerous son of a sorcerer house and the sorcerous son of a dead common family, inversions of their expected blood rights, but also like-
I sincerely think that Azune "Lies to everyone but is always the first one to make a leap of faith and trust" is an enigma to Occtis "Never trust anyone ever until they prove otherwise or explain how they're using you" Tachonis. Like, his main problem with Azune is that Azune keeps giving evidence and things he found around to other people, as displays of trust or as machinations for his lies- without knowing explicitly in many cases what will happen after. This, to Occtis "control freak who is also a scientist who loves controlling all variables" Tachonis is incredibly frustrating, but also fascinating. Because why? Why does he work like this, how is he figuring out the social when and where to make his leaps?
idk idk I might be rambling at this point but I think about them and Azulien a lot I think Occtis, Azune, and Julien should be a throuple actually I think it would fix some things but also make them infinitely worse
